Nice, pleasant get-away.
We had a pleasant experience at the St. Croix River Inn. From the start, the people were friendly, accomodating, and quick to return my emails. We stayed in a smaller terrace-level room, and it was cute. The gas "woodstove" was somewhat loud but kept the room cozy. The tv was TINY, but we didn't watch a movie anyway. The hydrotherapy tub with river view was lovely, and the bed was comfortable (might be a bit small if you're a larger person, but just fine for us). Breakfast, coffee (and newspaper) delivered to the room was quite nice--the brandy-soaked pear with creme fraiche was particularly delicious!
We were happy with our stay at the Inn. It's not ULTRA luxurious, but it's a nice affordable option. Even though you're in Osceola, you feel far away from everything in your quiet room overlooking the river. The friendly service made the experience particularly pleasant.
