In Short – Usually referred to simply as "The Dome," this venue is the home to two of Minnesota's pro sports teams, the Twins (baseball) and the Vikings (football), plus the University of Minnesota Gophers football team. The venue is the Cities' only indoor facility big enough to host motocross events, monster-truck rallies and the occasional Rolling Stones-size rock tour. Concessions include standard fare such as burgers, popcorn, nachos and hot dogs.

We need a stadium!

Baseball just isn't for domes. You can't hear the announcer, the beer is warm, and the air is too cold. We need a stadium for baseball.

dumpy dome

Baseball in the dome is MISERABLE WITH BAD ACOUSTICS, BAD SEATS, and BORING activities. On a scale of 1-10-- 10 being the worst, the dome is a 10!!!
WE NEED A NEW STADIUM.
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: no tailgating area, poor parking, lousy views

Great Acoutics

This is the place to be for the concert of your choice. The acoustics are very good and the size of this place is enormous.

Know Before You Go:
The Twins' box office number is (612) 375-1366 and the Vikings' number is (612) 338-4537.
Parking:
Try ramps and lots north and west of the Metrodome. Ramps are the better deal, but it does mean walking. Free spots can sometimes be scored on streets five to seven blocks west.
The Extras:
It's unofficial, but the parking lots around Washington Avenue load up with tailgaters before many games.
