Boxed food not allowed!!!. This was my first and last time at this establishment. We just moved to the neighborhood and thought we would try this restaurant since it was so close to where we live. We happened to go during their happy hour so we ordered 3 items off the ½ priced appetizer menu. After finishing 2 of our 3 items we had some of the hot wings left over. We asked to get a box to take the rest of our wings home THAT WE PAID FOR. They refused to let us box them. I felt like they were my parents trying to “teach us a lesson” not to order so much food (which wasn’t even the case anyway). The manager got involved and instead of having good customer service and letting this time slide because we were new to the area, she refused and told us if we wanted to take them home we would have to pay full price. That wasn’t an option because the wings were not very good to begin with and they were served to us cold (maybe they reuse all the leftovers and serve them to their customers which is why they were cold – this would explain why they would have a hard time letting us take them home). I asked both the waitress and Manager what they do with the food since we were not allowed to take home the food WE PAID FOR, and they said they throw it away. WHAT A WASTE! Not only did they waste our money, but I can only imagine the amount of food they end up wastefully throwing away because of this ridiculous rule. I have never been to an establishment where I was not allowed to take home my food…even at another happy hour with ½ priced apps. Instead of using this situation and gaining new customers and more clientele (through word of mouth – which is the best marketing tool), they lost new customers. We will be sure to let everyone know the type of place this is and instead of recommending this place to our friends, we will instead encourage them not to go!
Mediocre, but fills a need!.
This place fills a need for the area, but with a name of 'Scoreboard' one would think they would try to make the sports bar clientele happy! We frequent this place as we live close, but when we went in to watch an early afternoon Wild game - and were the only people there - they wouldn't turn the sound to the game on! Instead, they had to leave the easy listening on in case the older brunch (I use this term loosely) customers were going to make an appearance. We asked to speak with a manager, who wouldn't come and talk to us, instead told our server to tell us that management wouldn't allow them to change the sound...
Other nights are better, and they have a few bartenders we like. Unless you are there for happy hour, the prices can be high for the quality of the food. But, since the suburbs have the restaurants so spread out options are limited for this type of venue... I do like the Buffalo Chicken salad though!
I'll never go to an Applebees, TGIFridays, or Ruby Tuesdays again..
I have to disagree with the other reviewers.
This restaurant is great. The waitstaff is very experienced, personable, and helpful. I never felt that I needed something and wasn't getting it. They were fun to talk to and highly attentive. The food was great. It is evident that the cooks take pride in their work and adhere to the utmost standards of quality. This is not your "Neighborhood Bar and Grill". This is much better than that. Scoreboard is great for any occasion and manages to be several steps ahead of the competition while keeping prices competitive. Highly Recommended!
ATTRACTIVE JANITOR!. Friday night a few of us ladies decided to go check out this Janitor posted by a previous blogger. RIGHT ON! Very very very attractive! I am trying to build up my nerves to go back this next Friday night and chat with him! WISH ME LUCK!
The Janitor is HOTTT!. The Janitor is HOTTTT! The girls and I take a road trip once a month to check out the Janitor...MUST SEE! HOTTTTTT!
User review by cash0031. I have gone here numerous times and each time I wonder why I do. The service is horrible. The waitress may stop by your table every 45 min if you are lucky. The food is okay but pretty pricey as are the drinks.
Higher than average sports bar - not any more (6/2006).
I go here for lunch occasionally. They have a great quantity of TV's around the place so if you're wanting to see 'the game' you can't miss it whereever you're sitting.
The food is fresh, hot and ample. A step above the usual bar food.
Service is exemplary.
That's what I said a year or two ago. I don't have the same opinion any more
Update June 2006- The food is low quality bar food. That's lunch, dinner & happy hour.
The place is clean, and the service is still good, but the food ruins the visit. I can only describe it as greasy, salty bar food.
I used to think it was a + that they had the TV's around the place. I don't any more, it's just irritating. Not sure why, maybe they've been turning up the volume to drown out conversations?
