Best fitness classes ever!
by sunflowerisa
The Firm does have the best fitness classes in town with excellent, caring, personable fun instructors...! The classes range from Spinning, aerobics (circuit, striptease, funk, muscle training, etc), pilates, yoga, bag boxing, and even russian kettleball! I haven't tried boxing or kettleball yet, but I am sure it is as effective, fun and good as the rest... I am a regular now at SPINNING, YOGA, and Pilates at the firm. Before the FIRM, I use to take Yoga at one of the top Yoga places in the city...and I was pleasantly surprised that the Firm offers yoga every weekday, with excellent instructors also...so I don't need to go to two different places for my fitness : ) So for me, joining the FIRM was an excellent choice. I am not much into gym training, but I have used their gym facility and it has top notch equiptment, too! The staff is always friendly and very nice. It's ALWAYS a GREAT DAY at the FIRM and I am very proud to be a member!
- Pros: Best fitness classes and excellent caring instructors
- Cons: NONE

i've been a member for a few years and suddenly found that the gym's/studio's already reduced availability was suddenly reduced/changed even further-without any notice! they now close at 9 pm weeknights, 5 on saturday and 3 on sundays. this was especially irritating and i feel, unfair given that the contract you sign requires members to give a 2 month notice when you decide you'd like to end your membership...
- Pros: knowledgable staff, many wonderful people/staff
- Cons: very expensive, interesting hours, very loud music
Biggest rip off in Minneapolis!!!

The Firm charges HUGE prices for completely sub-par trainers in a dirty studio. Save your money (and your dignity) and work out somewhere else. I paid TOP dollar to work out with a personal trainer at the Firm, only to have him lean up against the wall and drink a cup of coffee while I worked out completely on my own. Their classes are great, no doubt, but for the money they're charging they should be and, let's face it, in Minneapolis, there are a lot of good classes around. There is no need to pay what the Firm is charging.
- Pros: spin classes are really fun and challenging, free parking
- Cons: High prices, Terrible personal trainers, snotty people
