Beautiful. Parking was easy, the place was family friendly and the walk across the bridge was easy. The bridge has paths for pedestrians and bikes, this is great!
See the falls that built a city from a bridge that helped build an empire..
In Short
A gently S-curving bridge was built by railway baron James J. Hill in 1883 to speed his trains across the Mississippi River. Now beautifully restored, the bridge provides serene transit for walkers, joggers and anybody who wants the best possible view of St. Anthony Falls, whose churning power first made Minneapolis a milling capital.
Romantic Escape Amidst the City Lights. Recently enjoyed a stroll across the bridge following dinner. Chose to use this location to propose because of the backdrop of the Minneapolis skyline coupled with St. Anthony falls in the foreground. It's a perfect blend of the big city and the quiet country.
