Brunch not for Lunch please.
We went to McCormick's for Easter Brunch and it was terrible. So bad that we have no desire to go back even for a regurlar meal. We had fruit flies flying around us, the fruit consisted of melon and pineapple. If you wanted berries they were by the melted chocolate. Strawberries were cut up and they had a small bowl of the mixed berries that you would use a tooth pick to get them. Clearly they did not want you to have too much.
Food was very average and that is being kind. Salmon was good. I guess it better be consdtering they are a seafood rest. Service was good.
All in all no way way would we go back. Yuck.. I am getting sick thinking about the meal.
Loved everything i ate!. We went to celerbrate my huband's birthday. Was a very upscale! We had clam chowder, scallops for an app which was totally amazing! I ordered the stuffed salmon (it has blue crab, shrimp and brie) for the entree which was perfectly cooked! We also enjoyed oreo cheesecake for dessert! The service was awesome and everyone was very frendly. This is our new favorite place to go out to eat. But i'd highly recomend you leave the little ones at home! It was so nice to go out to eat with out having other people's kids ruin the dinner! I'm still thinking about the meal and can't wait to go back!!!
What service. We waited 20 minutes we wated 20 minuters and nerver evben rterceived water. Not reccomended.
A Frustrating Double Date. Aside from being completely ignored, served cold coffee and Ahi Tuna that resembled cheap lunch meat from package, the ambient temperature was nice. I'm serious; I really could not believe how bad the service was. I was physically biting my tongue since my wife and I were out to dinner with a dear friend and his new gal pal, I was really trying to hold it together to not ruin the evening, except for that was out of my control. I politely paid the bill, tipped begrudgingly and walked to the nearest hole in the wall where I was served like a king for nearly a tenth of the price.
Valentine's Dinner Average.
No doubt the seafood is fresh but after the entire experience, Mccormick & Schmick's leaves much to be desired. I mistakenly ordered Ahi Tuna which I thought was going to be more a tuna steak. Instead, it was slices of tuna over seasoned with black pepper which spoiled the flavor. We also ordered king crab which was very good; obviously very fresh. Service was okay; the staff are very nice but the food came out at a crawling pace. If I spend 2 hours for dinner, I expect a 5 course meal at an even pace rather than a slow 3 course meal.
On a positive note, I truly enjoyed the crab cakes. They are fabulous. The tartar sauce and coleslaw perfectly complimented the crab cakes. I wouldn't mind going back to order the crab cake alone
Best FOOD Happy Hour. This place has the BEST happy hour for food in town. If I remember correctly, drinks are spendy but one can get a 1/2 lb pepperjack burger with fries for around $1.50. All of the choices are fantastic and don't get above a couple dollars. It's busy and fairly difficult to find a table in the bar area.
Clubby corporate restaurant draws seafood lovers with fresh daily catches and posh atmosphere..
In Short
Upscale and sophisticated, this chain features art deco-inspired trappings such as dark wood, shiny brass and beveled glass. Servers clad in black and white weave through cocktailing couples and businessmen at the bar. The classic American, seasonally inspired seafood menu changes daily; specialties include starters of Dungeness crab cakes and oysters on the half shell, plus entrees like cedar plank-roasted salmon, sauteed lobster with scallops and rock shrimp, and seared yellowfin tuna with wasabi, soy and ginger.
Cocktail server was rude and a disaster, but food was okay.. Food was decent the broiled salmon, but the asian cocktail server was just rude and hideous. She had the most annoying voice, bad attitude, and bad hygiene. I don't believe they would let such a wreck be on the floor and serving food. Sadly I lost my appetite before I could order.
Remarkably Average. With a great menu selection of fresh fish at a premium price, we were disappointed that the service, quality and presentation did not meet our expectations. We dined on shrimp appetizers that were overcooded, fresh fish entreees that were overcooked, overbuttered and underwhelming. The server was nice and attentive. Maybe it was just a bad night. The ambiance is very nice and is very comfortable.
yummy. i got the shrimp and scallop pasta fettucini - it was delicious! there was a great flavor of pepper and parmesean in the fettucini, its definitly not your mediocre sauce. nicely presented, decent portion (i left stuffed) and service was friendly and fast.
