In Short – Upscale and sophisticated, this chain features art deco-inspired trappings such as dark wood, shiny brass and beveled glass. Servers clad in black and white weave through cocktailing couples and businessmen at the bar. The classic American, seasonally inspired seafood menu changes daily; specialties include starters of Dungeness crab cakes and oysters on the half shell, plus entrees like cedar plank-roasted salmon, sauteed lobster with scallops and rock shrimp, and seared yellowfin tuna with wasabi, soy and ginger.
Valentine's Dinner Average

No doubt the seafood is fresh but after the entire experience, Mccormick & Schmick's leaves much to be desired. I mistakenly ordered Ahi Tuna which I thought was going to be more a tuna steak. Instead, it was slices of tuna over seasoned with black pepper which spoiled the flavor. We also ordered king crab which was very good; obviously very fresh. Service was okay; the staff are very nice but the food came out at a crawling pace. If I spend 2 hours for dinner, I expect a 5 course meal at an even pace rather than a slow 3 course meal.
On a positive note, I truly enjoyed the crab cakes. They are fabulous. The tartar sauce and coleslaw perfectly complimented the crab cakes. I wouldn't mind going back to order the crab cake alone
- Pros: Excellent Crab cakes, Heated parking garage
- Cons: Service slow, layout is really odd
Best FOOD Happy Hour
by hage0269
This place has the BEST happy hour for food in town. If I remember correctly, drinks are spendy but one can get a 1/2 lb pepperjack burger with fries for around $1.50. All of the choices are fantastic and don't get above a couple dollars. It's busy and fairly difficult to find a table in the bar area.
Cocktail server was rude and a disaster, but food was okay.
by iluvfood131
Food was decent the broiled salmon, but the asian cocktail server was just rude and hideous. She had the most annoying voice, bad attitude, and bad hygiene. I don't believe they would let such a wreck be on the floor and serving food. Sadly I lost my appetite before I could order.
- Pros: Fresh seafood and good happy hour
- Cons: Horrible cocktail server, bad hygiene, bad attitude, annoying voice.
