In Short – The cozy, downstairs dining room (in the basement of Hudson's old Opera House) evokes authentic Gemütlichkeit--the good-time ambience integral to dining out in Germany. Snug wood booths are enchanting and private; tabletops are covered in snowy white linens. Besides accordion music on the sound system, a friendly bar and beer steins everywhere, you'll find hearty portions like smoked pork chops, knackwurst and beef roll-ups. For dessert, have the flaky, homemade apple strudel.
Oh, that cabbage!

We had the Sunday night special and it was great. I would rather eat here than the Schumacher Inn in New Prague. The red and white cabbage dishes were so good and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. Walking back up the stairs after eating here....not so fun! Can't wait to go back someday.
