Poor value. For what you pay at Houlihan's you can go to Redstone and get much better food. My ribs were tasteless, my husband's roast was WAY too salty. And 9 bucks for a glass of blended crappy wine is outrageous! Plus the waitress was comotose and the service wasn't synched at all. We got our appetizer and then 1 minute later received our meal. Redstone's ribs rock and they have a great wine list - I'd recommend them over this place any day.

Kansas-based restaurant started in 1972 entices 30-somethings and families with a flashy menu, inventive drinks and chic, but accessible, decor.. In Short
Considered a founding father of American casual dining, Houlihan's transformed its once-kitschy decor and meat-and-potatoes menu into a contemporary restaurant serving eclectic cuisine. Geared toward a slightly more upscale crowd, warmer colors and modern art adorn the walls, while Indie rock tunes and a patio leading to a walk-around bar remind you that you're not in Kansas anymore. The globetrotting menu juxtaposes classic burgers and wings with innovative selections like tuna wontons and herb-cheese stuffed mushrooms.

Just OK. The food is just OK, nothing special. We ordered calamari for an appetizer and the breading was terrible and not even done but the dipping sauce was really good. The walleye sandwich was also not very good, you'd have much better luck going over to The Claddah for a cheaper and better fish sandwich. Service was great but we will not be back. There are much better restaurants for the same price.

Great for groups, awesome menu. I went to houlihans at peak dinner time, and we were seated right away. The menu's came, and I was expecting the meat and potatoes type menu, but was pleasantly surprised. They had a huge variety of internationally inspired appetizers, salads, and entrees. I wasn't feeling too adventurous, so I ordered the fish and chips. My meal was well-plated and was accented with grilled lemon. Everything tasted top-notch. The prices were fine - it was about $20 per person including beer and appetizers. I will definitely come back.

My favorite happy hour. I love going to Houlihans for happy hour. After 9 pm there are 2-for-1 drinks (beer, wells, wine, etc) and the appetizers are discounted to around $6. I love their spinach artichoke dip (no other restaurant compares) and my husband really likes their nachos. I have always received great service when it's just the two of us, but I recently went with a group and the waitress only came by once. I had to find her to pay my check. I'm going to assume it was just a bad apple. I really enjoy this place.
