Dis-Cus-Ting.
I am very worried about getting food poisoning. The quite large dinning room had only 4 tables occupied. I thought that with the adds they have been running maybe they changed the place up a bit but I was sadly mistaken. The food had been sitting out with very sub-par standards.
The food also looked like it was going bad before they cooked it. There was food splatter on the wall next to our booth and the tiles through out the place had cracks or were off color replacements. Sad to say the place looked and smelled like a house that was foreclosed several years ago and has been sitting in a run down part of town.
Again I just hope I don't get food poisoning. :(
YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!. So going into this buffet I was optimistic looking at the prices at there web page of $7.35 for a dinner buffet, the food was crummy but I was ok with that for the cheep price, but at the end of my meal they come to me with the bill and the price is $23.50 (Paid for 2) and neither of us even got a drink with that. The serves there was terrible, my water glass was empty for most of the night. I even asked the waiter about the price and he showed me the menu board of the "new prices" I told him about the online price and he said no. so I am going back tomorrow with a print out of there web page showing there price and asking for all my money back. I am very upset with the management and serves that i created this account just to bash these guys. DO NOT GO HERE!!! oh and on top of it the fortune cookie I received was broken into many pieces.
Old food over priced!. The food was nasty, and most have sat out there for awhile. the kids barely ate a thing the meat was tough and the rice was hard. They over charge for everything the pop was $3 extra on top of the already ridic price of the buffet. And did not mention that they charge adult price for kids over 10! No wonder they wait to charge you at the end of the meal. The people were slow and rude. NEVER AGAIN!! Horrible place to go for chinese buffet! I would have rather taken them to olive garden at that price!
Great Great Great. This place is a cut above the rest. The only place around that serves crawfish every night. I did their takeout, once i got inside the ONE box i had just was not enough, and left with 5 pounds of food. The ONLY thing that they did not have that many dont is beef Lo mein (spell check maybe) they only had vegetable. I did takeout so eat in at your own risk. the service did look to be a little slow, as the cashier sat 5 tables away chatting up with some over madeup pre-madonna.
Satisfy your Chinese food desire with the standard dishes served here..
The Scene
It's probably not an accident that New Century Buffet has an open, airy seating area. With an all-you-can-eat lunch and dinner buffets for around $10, you may leave a little larger than you came in. The two-page epistle has all of the Chinese basics you've come to know and love: chow mein, lo mein, egg foo young, sweet and sour, Cantonese, Szechuan and Hunan dishes are all represented.
"is it daylight savings time?".
got there at about 8:30pm - a good ninety minutes before they were supposed to close. no one was there. the staff basically stared daggers at us the whole time. it looked like the food had been on the steam tables for many hours. and once dishes started to empty they didnt even bring any new food out.
the waitstaff barely talked to us, and did not offer us drinks, only bringing us water.
Make your own stir fry. This buffet was a nice surprise. A lot of variety, from simple sushi to a stir fry station where they'll freshly cook the ingredients you've put together. The pot stickers and steamed dumplings were delicious. Four kinds of soups to choose from. Multiple buffet tables, each with many dishes to choose from. A cut above the average Asian buffets that are popping up everywhere.
