In Short Ed Dunn admits to tinkering with computerized roasting a few years back, but soon the Dunn Bros founder realized that on-site, hands-on TLC was better than impersonal high-tech beaning. All Dunn's employees are trained to be roasters, the coffee is served up knowledgeably, and the high quality is consistent across all locations. The crowds are more strong dark-roast than a light latte-frappe-mocha one, plus there are those who grab a sandwich on their lunch breaks.
This place is the best of the Dunn Bros. locations (or any coffee house for that point) in the Twin Cities. Not only do they have the only franchise to sell Iced Coffee, at this location they also have a grill going over lunch where you can buy a burger, chicken or pork sandwich. There's nothing like grilled meat hot off the grill for lunch during the summertime lunch hour downtown.
