In Short – Inspired by their favorite Italian city, owners Dwight Bonewell and Adam Smith infused their cozy, candlelit (and usually busy) corner shop with Italian charm. There's a small bar; gold and earthy tones; red-clay Etruscan-esque pottery; a 24-foot reproduction of an Old-World fresco--even an authentic Italian chef in the kitchen. With homemade pastas and ingredients such as mozzarella di bufala and imported San Marzano tomatoes, the menu emphasizes authentic Italian cuisine (bruschetta, pizza, gnocchi with pesto).

- What to Drink:
- An extensive wine list features fine vineyards from around the world, but the house wine is satisfying, tasty and a fraction of the price.
Our new favorite Italian

My father was in town and my wife and I needed to take him and my aunt and uncle to a nice quiet place. This was it! Our server, Zorida, was so nice and helpful. My dad had a lot of questions about the menu and she knew it all! The food was great- the guys had pizzas and the girls had pastas- all were clean plates. My wife embarrassed me to announce it was my birthday and next thing I knew I was getting a giant piece of some of the best tiramasu ever! I can't wait to go back when it is just my wife and I- it seems like a great romantic date spot!
Great food and fantastic service!

I went into Arezzo for the first time this evening with my husband for our anniversary. The food was amazing! I had had the gnocchi, super light and fluffy the way it should be, probably the best I've ever had. My husband had the fish special which was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The atmosphere was really nice and romantic. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and made fantastic suggestions for us. This was our 10 year anniversary and I can't imagine it being more special. We had a great time! Thank you!
Disappointing

Oh, how I wish I loved this restaurant. Great location, reasonably nice ambiance. The food is pretty tasty - nothing out of this world, and certainly not as good as Broders down the street. Service, in a word, stinks. Expect to wait 45 minutes for your food (even when seated early with about 4 other tables in use). Don't expect to see your waiter the entire meal - unless you flag them down in desperation. Don't count on refilled water or soda glasses. In fact, just plan on being ignored and over-charged for pleasant tasting food. The icing on the cake was when they "boxed" some left-over pizza by throwing it upside down haphazardly in a styro container. Seriously? Ugh. I'll take Macaroni Grill over this place (and that's saying a lot).
Great Atmosphere. Excellent Service. Best Pizza Ever.

My wife and I just went to Arezzo for a late lunch today. We had heard good things, and I've got to say, it was even better than the hype. The atmosphere was welcoming and romantic, and given the time, not many people were there.
We split the arugula prosciutto pizza and a stuffed chicken dish (both specials). The chicken was fantastic, perfectly done and very flavorful, but the pizza was probably the best we've ever had--and we've had pizza in Venice, Florence, and Rome (and Pizza Lola--now our 2nd favorite Minneapolis pizza).
Both of us used to wait tables, so we're very sensitive to service, and the service at Arezzo was excellent. I can't wait to go back and try some of the homemade pasta I've heard so much about. I think we may have found a new favorite restaurant!
Nice Atmosphere...Average Food

We dined at Arrezo on Saturday. We were disappointed with the quality of the food. While the atmosphere was nice, the place was busy and our waiter was good, we were surprised by the quality of the pasta based on the reviews we'd read. We didn't order appetizers choosing instead to have the flat bread with olive oil. It was good with the bread having a good flavor. I ordered the penne with tomtao and garlic sauce and added chicken. Boy was I disappointed! Prego has much better flavor than what I ordered! My wife ordered the tagliatelle with chicken and pine nuts. While the dish had a good flavor, there weren't any pine nuts to be found. Overall, while the atmosphere was good, the food was average.
