Edina >Arezzo Ristorante
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE Our horrible experience started at the door. We made a reservation but the people who arrived after us who did NOT have a reservation (we overheard them say) were seated before us. The hostess then told us that it was their 12th anniversary party and they had $12 bottles of wine. However, when our server came she stated that because we had a Groupon we could not use it. A Groupon is, in essence, a gift card...so because we had a gift card we could not use it??? Horrible. We ordered a bottle of wine anyway only to wait 10+ minutes for it. Then, we ordered our food which came quickly (only positive) but my dish was horrible. Not even something I could stomach...I could not eat another bite. My husband's was mediocre. Now the worst part? Our server did not come back for 20+ minutes. Our water glass stayed empty and she did not come back once to ask if we needed anything. On top of that, she smelled SO strongly of perfume it was nauseating. Just HORRIBLE.
Our new favorite Italian. My father was in town and my wife and I needed to take him and my aunt and uncle to a nice quiet place. This was it! Our server, Zorida, was so nice and helpful. My dad had a lot of questions about the menu and she knew it all! The food was great- the guys had pizzas and the girls had pastas- all were clean plates. My wife embarrassed me to announce it was my birthday and next thing I knew I was getting a giant piece of some of the best tiramasu ever! I can't wait to go back when it is just my wife and I- it seems like a great romantic date spot!
Great food and fantastic service!. I went into Arezzo for the first time this evening with my husband for our anniversary. The food was amazing! I had had the gnocchi, super light and fluffy the way it should be, probably the best I've ever had. My husband had the fish special which was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The atmosphere was really nice and romantic. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and made fantastic suggestions for us. This was our 10 year anniversary and I can't imagine it being more special. We had a great time! Thank you!
Disappointing. Oh, how I wish I loved this restaurant. Great location, reasonably nice ambiance. The food is pretty tasty - nothing out of this world, and certainly not as good as Broders down the street. Service, in a word, stinks. Expect to wait 45 minutes for your food (even when seated early with about 4 other tables in use). Don't expect to see your waiter the entire meal - unless you flag them down in desperation. Don't count on refilled water or soda glasses. In fact, just plan on being ignored and over-charged for pleasant tasting food. The icing on the cake was when they "boxed" some left-over pizza by throwing it upside down haphazardly in a styro container. Seriously? Ugh. I'll take Macaroni Grill over this place (and that's saying a lot).
We are very sorry to hear about your experience. Please respond to my email address so we can make it up to you. We have been voted by users as the Best Italian Restaurant in the Twin Cities and we truly want you to think this as well! You deserve better and we will make it up to you.
Great Atmosphere. Excellent Service. Best Pizza Ever..
My wife and I just went to Arezzo for a late lunch today. We had heard good things, and I've got to say, it was even better than the hype. The atmosphere was welcoming and romantic, and given the time, not many people were there.
We split the arugula prosciutto pizza and a stuffed chicken dish (both specials). The chicken was fantastic, perfectly done and very flavorful, but the pizza was probably the best we've ever had--and we've had pizza in Venice, Florence, and Rome (and Pizza Lola--now our 2nd favorite Minneapolis pizza).
Both of us used to wait tables, so we're very sensitive to service, and the service at Arezzo was excellent. I can't wait to go back and try some of the homemade pasta I've heard so much about. I think we may have found a new favorite restaurant!
Nice Atmosphere...Average Food. We dined at Arrezo on Saturday. We were disappointed with the quality of the food. While the atmosphere was nice, the place was busy and our waiter was good, we were surprised by the quality of the pasta based on the reviews we'd read. We didn't order appetizers choosing instead to have the flat bread with olive oil. It was good with the bread having a good flavor. I ordered the penne with tomtao and garlic sauce and added chicken. Boy was I disappointed! Prego has much better flavor than what I ordered! My wife ordered the tagliatelle with chicken and pine nuts. While the dish had a good flavor, there weren't any pine nuts to be found. Overall, while the atmosphere was good, the food was average.
Excellent Food. Excellent Atmosphere!.
Although this restaurant is small, it packs a loud taste punch.
Walking into this restaurant, one is greeted by a cozy Euro atmosphere.
Greeted and seated fairly quickly (be sure to get reservations, they are packed sometimes) the people are warm and have an "intercontinental" air about them.
Nice selection of very tasty food. They apparently make all (or most all) of their ingredients from scratch. Arezzo uses fresh ingredients in the preparation of their food and you can sure taste it.
Excellent selection of wines. The suggestion made by our server was very nice. This restaurant carries a nice selection of wine.
The food is a medley of flavors grabbing at your taste buds. As American ethnic restaurants go, this place has great taste.
Superb service and atmosphere.
Try it, i think you'll like it.
Since the place shares my last name, I had to travel to Edina and try this ristorante. I was able to bring my son and his girl friend. The next hour or so was an unbelievable experience for the three of us. The food was incredible and the service was superb. I can't wait to travel back from northern MN. and bring more of my relatives to enjoy the food and service.
Thank you again
The Arezzo family
Was the chef on break? The manager was.....
The halibut dinner came about 25 minutes after ordering--it took that long for the chef to overcook the meat. We were unable to cut into the top of the seafood with a steak knife. The halibut looked more like a bread roll than a fish filet. The "carmelized" onions actually crunched when we cut them with a fork.
The service matched the food. We were 15 minutes late for our 6:30 reservation, but the hostess seated two unreserved parties who arrived after us and then announced to us that there were no more tables. We dined outside. The entree server left both plates overhaning the edge of the small table without clearing any items. We had to move our salad plates to another empty table ourselves. The water glasses remained empty for the entire meal. Our wait staff offered a tiramasu when she heard about the halibut, but didn't offer any replacement of the dish or a reduction of the price.
Where did the good reviews come from for Arrezzo?
