stores, Macy's anchors malls coast to coast, tallying millions in yearly sales.
The Goods
Macy's is every shopper's department store, located along the retail spectrum between Sears and Nordstrom. Crowded displays boast second-tier labels: Lauren and Polo by Ralph Lauren, Reaction by Kenneth Cole, Allen by ABS. The shoe department features many upscale selections: Via Spiga, DKNY and Martinez Valero for the ladies and Cole Haan, Skechers and basic Bass loafers for the fellas. Worst service...period. I went to Wash. D.C and purchased a turtleneck at Macys there. I took the tags off to wear it but never did. I brought it home to Mpls. One morning I decided to wear it, but the security tag was still on! I went to MOA to get it removed...As I walked in, the alarms went off. I stood there for OVER 5 minutes and no one came. Went up to the counter and asked to have it removed. I told the clerk my story and said, please remove it so I can be on my way. After 4 EMPLOYEES LATER (her supervisor on up...) they still wouldn't remove it because I didn't have a receipt. Come on people-this is a $24 item. I stood there for an hour being treated like a shoplifter. I complained to store management but never heard a word. They don't deserve your business.…
