Need a salt lick? Then you're in luck!.
We went there in the middle of the afternoon. There were only two other tables occupied. Blaring over the speakers was a Top 40 radio station; so much for ambiance. The service was incredibly slow, especially considering the lack of patrons. The server, when she finally bothered to come out to us, didn't smile and seemed rather put out by having to deal with us. She actually rolled her eyes when I had a question about a dish because I have a food allergy. When our dishes were served, about half an hour after placing the order, they were tepid and salty enough to make Lot's wife seem like a low-sodium option. I sent my dish back, as I found it inedible. They brought me out another serving, which was just as salty. So I sent that back, too. At this point, a manager came out and offered a different dish, which, she claimed, wasn't as salty. When that dish came out, it tasted like someone had dumped blackstrap molasses all over some stir-fried beef and vegetables. By this time, my companion had long finished (luckily for him, he has a much higher tolerance for bad food, having been at sea in the military), as it took twenty minutes for each dish to be served.
We weren't charged for any of the dishes brought to me, which is just as well, since I didn't eat them. The manager spoke very kindly to me.
If you have a palate for good-tasting Asian cuisine, this may not be the restaurant for you. Personally, the only good thing about the food I had was that I didn't get violently ill after eating four bites. I felt the prices were high, although I suppose they need to pay for the salt mines they're depleting somehow.
Less than worth it.

We ate at the bar, the staff was very busy so not a lot of attention, but the atmosphere was nice.
The food is 'really' salty so if this is your taste you will appreciate it. We at the Kung Pou Shrimp (no shrimp flavor, only salt flavor is all that came through) & beef Broc. which was also very salty. Asked the bartender regarding the salt and he said, yes they are tasing as they are meant to be. The lettuce wraps were great, the mini desert less than soft. (I had the choc mouse)
The drinks were great, but I won't return, really not worth it.
never disappoints. Great food and reasonable priced. And alway great service. Even when busy the service has always been exceptional. Great for large groups or if going to a movie.
Great value and many veggie selections. I don't eat at the restaurant. It's just too loud in there for me. It's over crowded most of the time too. I love take out though. I can get my faves: Veggie Fried Rice, Chicken w/Black Bean Sauce, Coconut Curry w/ tofu, Chang's Ribs or Tofu Lettuce Wraps (depending on how much meat I want to consume) and the deep fried Green Beans. So, I get 5 different foods in good sized portions, and the food will last 3 days Lunch and Dinner....just me. All for about $45.00. I consider that a good deal for restaurant food that I can eat for that many days in such variety. Of course, I don't do this every week, but I do once a month or so. Love it.
I must be "snakebit", as I've tried this place 3 times and had 3 bad meals!. I've eaten at the Southdale PF Chang's a couple of times and while the ambience is very nice and the service is top notch, I had mediocre food both evenings. I even tried the PF Chang's in Las Vegas and had the worst Kung Pao I've ever had. It's only one of 3, or 4 times in my life that I've sent food back as absolutely inedible! Everyone I know that I have talked to about this chain loves the food, the setting and the service - I just must be unlucky at PF Chang's!
Best Chinese Food!!!. All I have to say is, I have never had a bad experience going to this place, which has been many times. The food is always right, service always friendly, and it's not too pricey. I am a vegetarian and it is finally nice to be able to go to a place that can cater to vegetarians. Thanks PF chang!
The atmosphere is great!. I have been this restaruant for several times. Generally speaking, it's good restaurant if you compare with all other Chinese restaurants in twin Cities. And you still can not say that the food is too bad if you have been China and had those really delious Chinese food. The only unpleasant experience was that they took too long time to serve you -- asking order, sending food and taking bill... oh and returning your card.
TREAT YOUR TASTE BUDS!!!!!. When I walked into PF Chang's my first thought was "I wish I'd made a reservation" and my second thought was "this place is SWAMPED!" I was greeted by 3 well-dressed individuals, a brunette taking names of those with reservations, a blonde young woman running a wait list for tables, and a very chic looking young man who was seating tables as they became available. In the mix of waiters in black-on-black another two of the well-dressed host staff (I'm assuming that it's required to appear in a particular manner) were scrambling to clear dirty tables in the overly packed dining room. When I finally got to sit down I had a wonderful meal with several friends and our server was not only excellent but quirky with glittery lipstick and rhinestones on the frame of her glasses. She provided a genuinely fun and entertaining meal which went perfectly with the fabulous food and fruity blue "Pool Sides" that we gratefully gulped down with the spicy Dhali Chicken, a new and extremely spicy addition to the menu. In all I would say that knowing what kind of a restaurant it is will help in my future decisions to dine there, and despite a few mishaps in the beginning (an hour and a half is a bit of a lengthy wait for a table) it seems like a very efficient, fast-paced "uber-trendy" establishment. Although I wouldn't recommend it for larger group events, I will most definitely be returning as well as telling everyone I know how fabulous it was, and next time I'll be sure to make reservations well in advance. I would HIGHLY recommend that everyone try this place out!!!!
TERRIBLE!. I will NEVER GO BACK! I saw my server scratch his head, wipe his nose, then proceed to touch my food! I also have heard many negative comments about the management and how the restaurant is run. (Obviously, considering I make reservations for 7 and I dont get in until 8!!!!) I will never go back, nor will the people I work with, my family, or my friends.
The corner booths are romantic. We went for a date night & ended up in a big corner booth. It was fun! The meal was very spicy & the waiter refilled our glasses at least 4 times without us saying anything. They do make a great Mojito too..
