Editorial Review for Woolley's Restaurant – by Rob Hubbard

In Short
Walk past Cork's, the nearby pub with mirrors advertising Irish whiskeys and ales, and you'll find a gem of a back room that's reminiscent of some of the classier spots on the Emerald Isle. A living room with four tables and a sofa face a fireplace. Virtually everyone is from out of town, charging their tabs to their rooms. On winter nights, couples and business workers relax in front of the crackling fire.

This is a cozy spot on the way out of town after an event at the Ordway or Xcel. Friendly, warmer than the average hotel bar.

Pros: parking, service, ambience

Extremly authentic. A very nice place to go and have a pint. Small place but plenty of tables and TVs. However dont go there based on what the editors note about the fireplace. It may have been "crackling" before but sorry to say now it is fake. And not even gas fake. It consisits of some plastic logs and a red glowing light. So no flames or heat. But dont feel like you are missing out because it is hidden anyway in a small separate room in which a pool table takes up the entire space, so odds are you wouldnt be able to enjoy it anyway.

Pros: irish, decor, intimate

Cons: fake fireplace

A cozy spot in the Embassy Suites Hotel, with a crackling fireplace for winter nights.  See the full editorial review.
