Excellent for Dinner!!. Had a group of 8 for dinner, arrived early but out table was ready and the bartender who served us was friendly and quick with service. He started to get very busy quickly but never forgot about us. Food was great, everyone in our group was very happy. I think what I was most pleased with is the bartender. He kept a cool head, drinks were still timely and never let go empty. He was friendly all the way through the meal, made jokes with us and seemed to be having a great time. I highly recommend this place based on the service, quality of food and again...the Service!!

Used to be great, now it's awful.. This place used to be one of the best places to do Downtown. Not anymore. The remodeling job looks great, but the new attitude that came with it can go. Overpriced drinks, as$hole security and doormen, cocky and non attentive bartenders and the worst DJ downtown (what happened to King Otto and Bill?) this place has turned into Drink Part 2. Sad to say, this place was becoming one of the best spots downtown, until...

Bad Bad Bad. Weak drinks, slow staff, and patrons are not any fun to be around. I must say the staff is what really ruined the night, I guess they are doing the best they can... for a bunch of dimwitted morons.

Great Spot...the new upstairs is great!. Great Happy hour, beautiful people and fun music. I love hearing my old favorites from the 80's and 90's. Lot's of old Funk & Hip Hop. Crowd gets a little rough upstairs but the new Dress Code has made things SO much better. Love this spot!!

Prime for crime. I've always enjoyed Imperial Room. The drinks are good. The DJ is even better. However, the new top floor is a prime spot for criminal activity. It's too dark and there is not enough security. Girls are routinely harassed and groped. The last time I was there my friend witnessed someone boldly stealing a wallet from a girls purse, and though we caught up with the thieves and requested security, nothing was done. I agree with the previous reviewer. The security team was completely oblivious and completely unwilling to help. Mpls police was hailed and a police report was filed but by that time the guilty party had fled the scene.

If you go, stay downstairs and watch your purse and wallet like a hawk. And above all, don't expect security to do a thing if you have a problem.

Started ok... ended awful. I've been to the emperial room on numerous occasions, and never has my night ended as bad as it did on Sat. Not only was I very inappropriately grabbed by one guy, but when I made an attempt to tell a bouncer what had happened, I was thrown to the ground in the rain. After splitting open my hand and scraping up my entire back from landing on the cement - I attempted to get the "fabulous" Mpls police involved - however I was told I could not be helped by the bouncers OR police as I - only 5'3", had apparently assaulted the bouncer. If you go - beware that you are not going to get ANY help should something happen to you.

I mish their mash potato bar!. If you're looking for that perfect little spot to meet peer exects after a long day at the office, than this is the place. Try the key lime pie martini. Delish!

Favorite downtown bar!. I go here at least once a weekend and love the bartenders, d.j.s and drink specials. It really is a no-lose bar!

Lounge lizards take note: This restaurant is tops for conversation and cocktails.. In Short
Black-and-white photos of the Rat Pack adorn the walls. Actual lounging occurs when downtown office workers chill out with specialty martinis on couches or at the long bar, and diners kick back in the slim dining room. Appetizers include walnut crusted goat cheese or Jerk chicken wings with mango honey mustard. Standout entree choices are Yankee pot roast served atop roasted garlic mashed potatoes and Imperial Shrimp Scampi served on linguine with herbs and parmesan.

Go For After Work Cocktails!. This is a great place for an after work cocktail. Great service and great deals- what else could you ask for? Go and go often!
