This U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground provides ample access to the Mississippi River, along boating and fishing facilities. The park is set along a wide expanse of river, created by locks that dam the river, slowing and widening its path, and allowing for navigation. Campground amenities include a shower building, two boat ramps, three playgrounds, three picnic shelters, sanitary waste disposal station, volleyball court, beach, pay phone and fishing areas.
