Defaced my Vintage Platinum Engagement Ring. I took my vintage platinum engagement ring to Consumer Direct Jewelers in Roseville, MN to have a new center diamond put in and new platinum prongs built because the original diamond fell out. Alan Lenze worked on my ring himself and defaced it by soldering my ring with white gold instead of platinum. Turns out he doesn't have the proper equipment to solder platinum. But, he and his assistant neglected to inform me of that. Now, I have a vintage platinum ring with yellow solder visible to the naked eye. Alan Lenze told me he would refund my money, but he wanted the diamond, the platinum prongs, and the white gold solder back. There was no way I was letting him near my ring to do more damage.

We Love Consumer Direct & Alan Lenze. We have gone to Alan and Co for over 11 years. Time and time again they treat us as if we are family.

I came in with an idea and they custom made my wife's engagement and wedding rings based on my ideas. Yeah ONE of a Kind at a great price.

I have seen Vikes, Twin, Wolves players when I have been there. If they go there you should go there too.

Excellent quality and great service. I've been purchasing jewelry from CDJ for 7 years since my boss recommended I go there to look for an engagement ring for my wife. I wasn't sure what to expect, but ever since the first time I walked in I've bought nearly every other piece of jewelry here.

Allan found me a great diamond and designed an unbelievable ring to set it in. My wife gets so many compliments about her ring that it almost gets old hearing it from people and it's still also one of a kind.

If you haven't been in to visit Allan and the rest of the team it's a must stop for engagement rings. The sky is the limit when it comes to the possibilities.

The place to shop for engagement rings. Allen and his team were amazing! We learned of CDJ on the internet while searching for an engagement ring. The reviews were excellent, yet we were planning to go to one of the "big name" jewelers where you could walk out with a ring until we read reviews from their customers. We stopped in to see Allen (not the easiest to find (located above play it again sports), and we could be happier. We custom designed a ring on the spot, he ordered the diamonds and within 2-3 week we had the ring. I recommend shopping at consumer direct jewelers to everyone. Great service and fantastic quality don't cost more. We were pleasantly surprised by the price. Thanks Allen. Pete and Martie

My Jeweler. The jeweler that does the work for jewelers. Their expertise and ability, including designing, is exceptional. I've been in there in sweats or a suit and treated the exact same, with respect and honesty, regardless of how small or ridiculous my project may be. This is my jeweler, no need to search any further, quality work at great prices.

Quality work, honest, helpful, but retail prices.. Needed some stones set into solitaire settings. Called them, set a date, then came in. Was dressed as usual: sweats, cap, unshaven, sort of grungy looking. One gal (Nicole) took care of the counter, she helped a customer that had arrived prior to me.

Took (15) minutes before someone asked me if I needed help (another employee).

When Nicole was free to assist me, she was more than helpful. Asked the correct questions, measured my diamonds (didn't weigh them), then gave me an estimate.

Was told that stones would be set and ready to be picked up in (7) days. Had to call after (8) days to see if the stones were ready to be picked up.

All stones were professionally set, and looked great.

This place does quality work, but their prices are at retail +. To set a stone in 14k with a 14k crown for $307.00 is nuts. I needed the stones set quickly, though, and they did the job.

Settings weighed on average 1.6gr.

My personal feelings are that if I had come into Consumer Direct Jeweler dressed differently, they would have treated me differently from the start.

Consumer Direct Jewelers, Roseville, MN. When my Mother passed away my sister and I brought many pieces of jewelery to Allen Lenz, Owner of Consumer Direct Jewelers. Al designed (his favorite thing to do) about 18 rings between my sister and I. We both have had many, many complements on these rings. He catches on to his customer's wants and personality very fast and seems to know exactly what they are thinking or what to suggest. He hasn't been wrong yet.

I don't need marble stone and pillars in my jewelery store. I need Allen Lenz and his crew. I can bring in something to be repaired and Dave, in the shop, will clean your rings while Al or Nicole do my paperwork.

Nicole, I don't know what her job title is but she is the one who keeps all the ducks in a row. The guys are asking where is blablabla and Nichol will tell them and keep our conversation going without missing a beat.

Al's wife, Terry works part time and she is a pleasure to see. Like everyone else in the store she always knows your name and why your there. When shes not there, I miss her.

These people are not just jewelers, they are my friends. I would recommened my Grandmother to go to Consumer Direct with her most treasured pieces.

If you want it done right, don't do it yourself, give it to Al, you will not be more pleased with any other jeweler.

Best Jewelry Store.. Friendly people, also easy to be helped. They enjoy every customer. Also they have a great selection. Another good idea to go there is they can design anything you want with there CAD machine.
