Dave The Cigar - The. Worse. Salesman. Ever!.
Shawn and Dave came to our home, yesterday, to give us a "free estimate."
What I thought would be 30 to 60 minute presentation ended up lasting over 2 1/2 hours. All went well and we really liked the product until the, Dave (who smelled of horrible cigars) CRL salesman had at it! They gave us the pricing with the “specials” – some deal for 20% off plus the initial visit discount. This was a "right this minute" price and that we wouldn't get the price if we didn't purchase then. My husband wasn’t sold, so they offered to go outside and give us time (a whole 10 minutes to make a decision of thousands of dollars) to think about it and if we chose no then we would "part friends."
When they came back in, my husband insisted that we needed time and all we really wanted was an estimate. My husband said he wanted to look at other windowns but said that if he found they are "the best" like they claim, then we would go back to them. The sales guy became very aggressive insisting that they could show us any other window we wanted to see. We said no. He asked if it was the window, the price (which kept getting lower) and again we informed them that we wanted to look at other window companies and pricing. This Dave guy said he had 15 windows in his truck and could show us anything we want to see. Which by now, I just want them to leave since my 14 month old is crying. Again we said no. He then went on to ask if we would sign a waiver so that we understand that we won’t get the “special.” We refused since there was no reason sign anything. He then started scribbling on his note pad, at which time I thanked them for coming and told them we were glad we had an idea of how much windows will cost us. He wouldn't get up until he finished writing what he wrote then said that was the waiver. I told him to just stop right there. I said we already refused to sign the waiver and he then said he would sign it on our behalf. As if...he can’t sign anything on our behalf…that’s illegal, buddy! I told them they had to leave my house at that point. He kept saying very arrogant and condescending things and because of this we will not be purchasing anything from his company. I also informed him I would be calling his company today (which I did) and complaining about him. He kept saying “Go ahead…go ahead.” My husband then asked his name, which he respond “what’s your name?” We both looked at each other like did he just say that?! My husband again asked his name and he repeated himself asking my husband’s name. I felt like I was talking to my 10 year old! I told him how insulted and upset I was and he just kept laughing like a child!
I did call the company today to complain about Dave, which they said they have received complaints about him before. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as well.
This is all unfortunately because we really liked the product they have.…
Great Siding!. We were contacted by a Custom Remodelers door knocker last month regarding our siding and were unsure if we wanted to replace it but agreed to an appointment. As soon as the sales person started to show us their selection of siding and the price of the job, we were sold. The color was perfect for our home and the price was great. They sent out their crew right away and they had our siding done in less than a week! They were very polite and did an outstanding job. We love our new siding and would highly recommend CRI to our friends and family.…

35K for vinyl siding they didn't need or want. $6,000.00 for a REPLACEMENT sliding glass door--REALLY? My parents currently have CEDAR SIDING!
Today my mother received a call from "Denny" aka Dennis Cummins, a salesman or agent for CRI. She said she was not dealing with him today. She stated she felt ripped off and taken advantage of and asked him not to come over. Within minutes, he was at her door. The guy barged inside my parents home, then said that he was "...starting the siding project TODAY!" He began YELLING and making THREATS to SUE them if they refused to allow them to work on the home. My mother asked Denny to leave the house, but he REFUSED TO LEAVE. He said "HAD THE RIGHT TO BE IN THE HOUSE" because my mother signed a contract. He threatened my parents would be liable for all the court costs for their "High-priced attorneys." My parents had to call 9-1-1, then a neighbor heard the Denny yelling at my mom from the street. He ran over to find out what the disturbance was and ended up in a physical altercation when he asked Dennis THREE TIMES FOR DENNIS TO LEAVE MY PARENTS HOME!! Blaine Police Dept. arrived and warned Dennis Cummins NOT TO RETURN OR HE WOULD BE CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL TRESPASSING.
Real tough guy, Mr. Cummins. How dare you harass my elderly mother. You are a punk!

Steel Roof just Installed. I just had a steel roof put on my house 2 weeks ago. When I first read about this company online from the reviews here I was very skeptical at first. I wasn't sure what to expect so when I was going over the contract with them I had it created to protect me from all the possible complaints I read on here. I was told that it would take up to 2 weeks and about a week to finish the roof. I was hoping to have it done before the new year so I could possibly get a rebate from the gov't. CRI ended up coming out within a few days and finished my roof in 2 days. I was very impressed with how quick the roof was installed and how thorough they were with installing my roof. I'll gladly refer them to my family in the twincities here and anyone I know that is looking for work to be done on their roofs. I told them when they were going to do my roof that I wasn't sure at first about using them because of what I read here. I am very pleased that I ended up using because they gave me a better deal than 2 other contractors that quoted me and they went out of their way complete the roof to my satisfaction. If anyone has any doubts regarding roofs being done feel free to contact with any question about what was done with my house. Excellent Job.. We watched our neighbors having new gutters, windows and a roof put on there home by Custom Remodelers, Inc. We had them come and give us a quote on our gutters. Their sales reps, Kela Johnson and Robert Teske, did a great job of measuring our home and describing their material for our gutters. They gave us a very good deal. Their workers were at our home to do our job in the time frame we discussed. The workers did an excellent job, were very professional and answered any questions we had. They picked up every little piece of plastic from the old gutters and took the old stuff with them. We were very pleased with them and the job they did. Another worker came out and repaired an old window for us that was included in the deal. He also did an excellent job and was very polite and professional. We would definitely recommend Custom Remodelers Inc. to our friends and family.…
