In Short – Named after an art-collecting alumnus from the University of Minnesota and designed by architect Frank Gehry, this campus museum is also a Twin Cities monument. Perched above the Mississippi, the stainless-steel structure reflects the river and provides views of the skyline. Inside, the museum houses eclectic and inspiring art exhibits studied by students, tourists and locals alike. The permanent collection features works by Georgia O'Keeffe, Alfred Maurer and other prominent American artists.
