KINGS IN THE BEST!.
This place has unbelievable food, it's so good.
Wants me wanting more.
I'm just sad that it's in Fridley instead of Eden Prairie.
I have to drive about 40 minutes, but worth it!
Every dish that I have tried is just wonderful.
The staff at Kings are really friendly.
It's the spot to be!
Raised their prices, but not their quality..
They raised their prices of everything by at least $2 and some items went up $4. Then they eliminated several of my favorite dishes. And they charge $10 more for Soju than I can purchase it for at the liquor store. They changed their sushi chef a while back and now they don't have the kind of sushi I like.
We really used to like this place, but can't afford it anymore - and they must have changed cooks recently. Not as good as it used to be.
Not Worth The Price.
We've been going to King's for many years and over time, their food quality and quantity have diminished while their prices have gone up.
They do have a great lunch buffet - for just a little over $10 with the tax.
Most of their dinners have gone from the $8.95 -$12.95 range to the $15.95 to $19.95 range. That change has happened in about 2 years. But recently, we noticed that even their soups/casseroles went up $2 or $3 each!
They changed sushi chefs and their sushi isn't as good as it used to be - but it is still OK - just not as great as it once was.
I suppose they get enough customer who can afford them because of their proximity to Medtronic, but we have decided we can't afford them anymore. Their Korean food is OK, but Hoban in Eagan is much better and half the price.
The atmosphere is good for a night out if you can afford them.
Authentic Korean Food.
THIS is the place to go if you want authentic Korean food. Most Koreans make their own food at home, but if there was anywhere they'd go to eat Korean food when they don't want to cook, it'd be Kings. My parents go there every weekend, and we often run into people we know becuase this is the spot. I don't really know how to cook Korean food, so it's a nice place to go when I'm craving it.
I've gotten sick everytime I've been to Mirror of Korea, and heard from someone who used to work there that they dump the uneaten white rice back into the rice cooker. I used to like Shilla, but it's meant for tourists or non-Koreans (although it's been renamed and now you can cook the meat at the table). Hoban is ok, but not as good as Kings.
You know Kings has to be authentic because there is even a Korean grocery store next door, so if you like the food, you can make your own at home :)
Great Korean Food.
Skip the Japanese and Chinese entrees - this is a great Korean restaurant!
Service is lovely - the servers are actually nice compared to any other Korean restaurant in the area. We go about once every other week that is how much we love the bulgolgi. Nice family atmosphere - they love my toddler.
