DOWNHILL FAST. I HAVE ATE AT CANYON GRILL 4-5 TIMES IN THE LAST FEW YEARS, MADE RESERVATIONS ON VALENTINES DAY, SERVICE WAS NON EXISTANT, WE WERE AT THE FIRST SEATING AT 4PM TOOK 20 MINUTES TO PUT IN A DRINK ORDER 30 MINUTTES TO BE ABLE TO ORDER APPETIZERS. THE FOOD WAS NOT GOOD THE QUAILITY OF THE CUTS OF MEAT ARE NOT TO THE STANDARDS THEY USED TO BE, MY WIFES FOOD WAS OVERCOOKED, AND THE SUPPOSED RED VELVET CAKE WHICH WAS REALLY A VERY DRY AND HARD CHOCOLATE CAKE WAS INEDIBLE. WROTE AN EMAIL TO THE MANAGER WITH HOW DISSAPOINTED WE WERE NO RESPONSE AT ALL. MUST BE CLOSE TO CLOSING THEIR DOORS SAVE YOUR MONEY, AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

There are no crowds here!. If you like being treated like you're in line at the Department of Motor Vehicles, this is the restaurant for you. I have never left a restaurant without leaving a tip until tonight. Not only was the waitress rude, but when I mentioned it to the manager, he walked away without comment. It's too bad because the food was pretty good (if you like raw beef.) There are not many experiences that would inspire me to take the time to write a review, but this is the worst treatment I've ever received in any dining establishment.

Expect big-city atmosphere and big, juicy steaks at this suburban haven.. In Short
Once you enter this towering, Southwestern-style building, you'll forget you're in the suburbs. Pale stone walls and vaulted cedar ceilings create an airy, open space. A favorite in winter for the large fireplaces and lodge-like feel, Canyon Grille also has a great patio for the summertime. The menu offers pastas and a few chicken dishes, but red meat and fish--smoke-infused and hot off the flames--are the reason to eat here. Desserts include enormous homemade brownies.

Fine Dining in Coon Rapids? Yes!!!. One of our favorite places to go, and the only place in the northern suburbs where you can get incredibly creative dishes without paying through the nose. Service is always professional. Pace yourself because you want to leave room for dessert. The wine dinner events are not to be missed! A place where you can get to know the owners and chefs.

Good customer service. Good ambiance, food was good. Everyone I was with was very happy with their food. Unfortunately, my steak was not quite done. The food was really good, just too bad I had to wait to eat mine. Great atmosphere, it was really quiet and very pretty. Server was pretty good, too.

Regular and Unusual. Canyon Grill is a great place to go for lunch as well as dinner. Their menu has classics such as the steaks as well as specialty entrees which are truely marvelous. One such entree is a pasta dish with bacon and fresh basil. All the ingrediants blend together into a wonderful treat. I suggest making room for dessert. They have a chocolate pyramid that is so good you wont want to share it.

Good wine value on Sunday and Monday. Entrees are priced in the $14-$29 range. The NY strip ($29) had a mushroom and truffle sauce. It was one of the better NY strips I have had very tender. However, it is not worth $29!

The beef medallions ($18) were excellent and could be ordered as a larger portion if desired.

Steaks came with choice of potato - everything else is a-la-carte.

The restaurant is a Wine Spectator award winner (moderate $) and offers about 20 wines by the glass. Sundays and Mondays all bottles are 25% off. Many wines were priced under $35.

The service was lacking and the Creme Brulee tasted more like pudding than baked custard.

Overall, a good value for wine, but better choices for steaks.
