Editorial Review for Keegan's Pub – by Amy Goetzman

In Short
The slick brick home is next to a parking ramp, but inside, the pub could be ancient. Worn wood floors, tin ceilings and a heavy, ornate bar suggest history. It's no accident the place radiates such genuine Irish warmth. Keegan's was designed and built in Ireland and shipped to Minnesota. Irish music, Irish food and Irish staff (the owners are Irish-American) make this pub feel like the real deal for the throngs of loyal patrons.

Warm and cheerful environment with absolutely wonderful selection of fresh drafts of good Irish, English and continental beers and ales. Top notch pub food, always freshly made. Great shephard pies, with good fish and chips and fine daily specials. We go often and always feel comfortable. Good crowd mix, with frequent local Irish entertainment. Service quick and friendly.

Pros: Good food, good value, congenial atmoshere

The rule of no less the 3 people at a 4 top table is stupid. All the 2 tops are small squat tables and only one was left. We asked someone (who ended up being the manager/part owner) if we could sit at one of the 4 tops. She said she would go check. She ended up sitting at the end of the bar and having a glass of wine. She was the one who could make the decision! While we were there we saw 3 two tops turned away bacause they could not sit at the 4 top table. That is not way to run a business. Our server was rude and not friendly. The food was good, but not good enough to go back. I warn all, "DO NOT GO HERE"

Pros: Food

Cons: Ownership/Management,Service,tables
