What you read, isn't what you get.... The open area is nice, but our table was in a strange place. Temperature of the place it self, was also strange. Hot, then cold, then hot....Food was mediocre. The pasta item I asked our server about he didn't know and wasn't about to check with kitchen on. My chicken on my sandwich had a wierd yellow sauce on it. My 'double-garlic' mashed potatoes were cold with no garlic taste at all. I couldn't tell the server because he never returned until it was time to offer dessert (and spill water on one of us), which was ordered and overcooked. I would not try this place again, unless it would be to hang out in the bar. Otherwise, nothing that memorable about it.

What the area has been screaming for!. While not a show-stopper, this place is a welcome change to the area. I work right up the street, and it's a welcome change to TGI Fridays & Chili's. Prices aren't cheap, nor are they outrageous. Food is definately good, but not the best I've had. Good service. Good clientle. I love the tall ceilings in the bar area so the cigarette smoke gets out of your face.

Great concept. We were greated with a friendly welcome and seated immediatly. Our server was friendly, helpful, but not overly pushy. My wife had a stuffed salmon that she loved.(and she is hard to please!!!!) I had the bone-in New York Strip that was one of the best steaks I have had in the Twin Cities.

Should be Minors. Majors has not yet achieved a major league stature. While their happy hours are crowded and vibrant, the food left me wanting.

Portions on their appetizers are miniscule at best. Don't even try to share them. The taste is excellent, but for the price paid, I expected more.

Entrees are the standard bar fare. They have more options that are not your typical deep fried food. However, they don't have any signature dish or specialty. In fact, you can find most everything on their menu within a 3 mile radius for about 50% of the price you find it at Majors.

Majors is a great drinking establishment, but not a top 10 choice for a restaurant.

A sports bar with a little more!. Thank you for this addition the the vacant 494 strip! This is a great sports bar to watch any game of your choice as well as a cool place to just hang out on a Friday night. It was a busy evening, but not so packed that you could not make it to the bar for another cocktail. They had plenty of bar service to readily help me. Also, the food was quite delightful for a sports bar. They have the basics but also have some extra special entrees with a slight twist to make it an extremely enjoyable dining adventure. I would recommend this to anyone to just hang out for the evening or to stop in on your way to your own sporting event.

My New Hangout. I loved the new atmosphere at what used to be a tired dark and dingy place. The old Tony Romas off 494 in Bloomington used to scare me... Now I can't wait to go back to my new hangout in town. The happy hour is great, lots of good looking people and great appetizers. The food is the best I have ever had outside of a fine dining restaurant. I'll definetly be back... soon!

Great New Hotspot in Bloomington. The Twin Cities has a new hotspot in Bloomington. Check out their Stuffed Pork Chop or the Majors Burger. This is not JUST a sports bar. But if it's sports you want, they've got it on their 25+ TV's (including a few High Def Plasmas).

Also, check out the Outdoor Patio and the banquet room.

Nicely Remodeled, But That's About It. If you like wide open (and noisy) restaurants, add this one to the list of many available around the Twin Cities.

The new owners transformed the old Tony Roma's into a very pleasant open space, but the noise makes it difficult to carry on a conversation. This is an "upscale" sports bar. Don't look for pitchers of beer here, they don't serve 'em. Just expensive mugs of draft beer. No onion rings or fries on the appetizer menu either.

The food was good, but very expensive for what you get. Our service was excellent.

Great Burgers. I was at Majors on Friday night for happy hour and found the ambiance to be fabulous. Very cool lighting and the stainless bar topped it off. Our service was excellent, and the burger was the best I have had in the twin cities!!!
