The real Irish bar.
For all the bars and restaurants with Irish names in St Paul, The Liffey is the one that you really want to go to. Their food goes way past your standard bar food and stereotypically "Irish" dishes, the Lif has real hearty food that will fill you up for days! Plus enough dark, delicious beer and whiskey to keep the happiest of drunks happy

neat place.
Too rich for my bloood. The atmosphere was cool. Food was fine. I need to use one hundred characters. I think I am pretty close. The web site would not let me spell bloood correctly.

great happy hour.
I have gone to the Liffey many times on Fridays after work for happy hour. They have tasty corn beef and cabbage and serve Finnigans ale. Life is good when sitting on the terrace drinking a fine local beer and having Irish food. I was a waitress for many years before I got my sit-on-my-butt office job and I have a lot of respect for anyone working in a busy restaurant. They have an efficient waitstaff, The only negative thing is that before a Wild game when the place starts to get very busy, it appears that they try to move people out quickly. My co-workers and I have received our bill without asking if we wanted anything else and there were a couple of times that we were not ready to leave and were ready to order another beer. Aside from that, this is a great place to unwind after work and the terrace is the best.

Great atmosphere, good people,.
One of my favorite bars in the cities. Friendly bartenders and patrons, great bar for singles. Nothing beats the Terrace in the summer. I've never been disappointed.

Best service ever!.
I came before a concert and was waited on by a very sweet tall blond. Everything was fun and excellent even though the restaurant was slammed. I am dissapointed that they got rid of the irish sunday breakfast. I loved goign in for the black and white and beans. Overall, great atmosphere food and service!

Great service, great food, great atmosphere, great views, great fun!.
Downtown St Paul's very own authentic Irish Pub! This place is the place to be for Happy Hour and pre Xcel events. The crowd is a great mix and the atmosphere is very energetic.
It is definitely a place to see and be seen!
Service is friendly and knowledgable.
If you haven't been here, I am sure you know someone who has.

Great service AND food!.
I've taken a few friends here and they're always satisfied. Not to mention it's a great walk from my neighboorhood up on the hill. Reasonable prices too for the quality food you get to enjoy!

This polished Irish pub is the first St. Paul hangout brought to the Cities by the Kieran's empire..
In Short
Strains of U2 or the Chieftains waft through a maze of rooms with dark wood and decorative glass dividers. The center bar attracts cheerful pre- and post-Xcel event-goers, while groups and canoodlers slip into the quieter rooms. Get a tap beer, a perfectly set Black and Tan, or Guinness in the authentic tulip pint glass. The kitchen pumps out standards like fish-and-chips, bangers and mash, and pub pies, in addition to Americanized sandwiches and salads.

Rooftop uncomparable.
Not only is the the best Irish Bar in the Twin Cities, yes that includes the Local, now it has the best outdoor patio in town as well. The rooftop just opened recently and I have been there 3 times already. The layout and decor are fantastic and unique, and the view of downtown St. Paul, West 7th, the Excel Center, and the Cathedral create a unforgettable experience. Good Irish beer and fare. Inside aint too bad either. Live music as well

Irish Indeed.
It's about time that St. Paul has a place to relax and unwind in a comfortable outdoor setting. The food is terrific and the pints are even better.
