St. Paul >Planet Ink Tattoo
SOME PEOPLE JUST HAVE THE ABILLITY TO GET DOWN. UN ALL MY YEARS I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A PURE LUSTER FOR THE ART OF LAYING INK. IF YOU EVER FIND YOURSELF IN NEED OF SPIRITUAL HEALING GO TO PLANET INK ASK FOR TRAVIS YA PUSS!
My First Tattoo. I love my first tattoo! I had an idea in my head and I described it to Chris and he drew it out for me. The drawing was everything I wanted. The tattoo turned out beautiful! He put the tattoo at a great angle on my back and I have had so many compliments. I'm already planning my next tattoo and I just got it done 2 days ago. Thanks Chris your the best!
My experience at Planet Ink was less than desirable..
I recently went to Planet Ink to see if it was a good place for me to get my tattoo. I wanted a roman numeral 8 on my shoulder. Here's what happened.
My friend and I walked in. We immediately noticed the smell. It was an odor, I would say identical to a port-a-potty. It was pretty overwhelming. We looked around a little more, noticing that the place probably hadn't been dusted or mopped for months.
A woman came in and asked if she could help us. I said I wanted a tattoo, if they had time. I was certain they had time because I didn't once hear the noise of tattoo guns, which is probably a sign of some sort. She walked towards the back and quickly turned around and asked me if I was 18. I said yes, because I actually am, and she continued on her way.
A while later a man came in and asked what he could do for me. I said I wanted a roman numeral 8 tattooed on my shoulder. He looked extremely confused and said, "Well that's an unusual one...." and he was serious. You know, actually, no it's not. I will be the first to admit that my tattoos are pretty unoriginal. He didn't seem to know what it was either. Anyway, he said that the size I wanted, which was pretty big, would cost me the minimum of $60. He walked in back for a second and my friend and I made a run for it.
I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anybody. If you go here because they don't check ID's, think again. You don't want a tattoo that you'll regret. Wait a few years and go somewhere legit and clean and friendly.
READ PLEASE. I STARTED WORKING HERE IN APRIL OF 2009. MY NAME IS TRAVIS. SOME OF THE REVIEWS I've READ ARE TRUE TO MY KNOWLEDGE AND SOME ARE BOGUS! I AGREE WITH THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SHOP AND BROUGHT IT TI THE OWNER. IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS, THE SHOP HAS MADE HUGE IMPROVEMENT. ITS A DIFFERNT SHOP ALL TOGETHER! ITS NOT DARK AND FULL OF SMOKE LIKE SOMEONE HAS STATED AND FUTHERMORE IS CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL. THE ONLY THING THAT IS THE SAME IS THE OWNER. NEW ARTIST THAT TAKE TIME TO ADRESS THE NEEDS OF CLIENTS AND PROVIDE SERVICE THAT EVERYONE DESERVES. ME, I LIKE BEING THE UNDERDOG. IT GIVES ME THE DRIVE TO EXCEL TO MY FULL POTENTIAL. I INVITE ANYONE TO STOP BY AND SEE THE CHANGES. WE ARE BY FAR THE TATTOO SHOP WITH MOST HEART AND DRIVE AROUND. WE WILL SATISFY YOUR NEEDS AND EXPECTATIONS. THAT WHY WE ARE "THE TWIN CITIES FINEST"
Horrible Place. The place is horrible. I'm not even sure why I got my tattoo done there. I decided to give them a try but I should have gone with my first instinct and left. I have a tattoo that looks awful and it's not colored all the way, its missing ink on some spots, the lines are not straight and now I have to spend more money to have it redone because I refuse to go back there. Please do not go there.
what do.. you think?. so i want to go to planet ink for my first tattoo it's located on university.. but when i called and asked them about the age with consent they said uhhhmm 14,15,16,17 with consent im 14 and my moms totally fine with it.. and then i talked to my ex and she said when one of her good friends went they didnt stylize their needles and they didnt care or paid enough attention.. well should i go? and see what i think? or should i find someone else.. help me make the right decision :) thanks.. everyone!!!!!
Best Experience Ever. The people there were so nice and really cared about how i felt about everything! He redrew the tattoo until I was happy with it. Totally worth the money!
I would recommend this place to anyone. All I have to say is Wow! I have 6 other tattoos of which I had received in NYC, and this one is my favorite by far. The artwork is stunningly detailed. I would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks Leah!!
oh hell no!. this place stinks, literally! i will never go there again. they have no idea what the hell a appointment is. then they give you some bs answer that they can't even keep straight cuz they must of forgot what they told you in the first place! then when you get you home with your half finished tattoo you relize, (we'll say leah) didn't correctly space it and is uneven. not sure how they stay in buisness with some of the employees they have. very unprofessional! oh ya, don't even bother to call and complain to the owner, thanks leah!
Planet Ink is f****ing awesome. They have great, up and coming artists. They have been at that location for almost ten years. Planet Ink is f****ing awesome.
