The first International House of Pancakes opened in a suburb of Los Angeles in 1958 serving a menu of hearty breakfast favorites. Today the restaurant still serves its signature dishes like the original buttermilk pancakes and pigs in blankets: sausage links wrapped in hotcakes. Other breakfast items include waffles, omelets, French toast and crepes. Non-breakfast offerings include sandwiches, burgers, entree-sized salads, and dinners like T-bone steak, pot roast and herb-roasted chicken.

Um... How is this place packed all of the time?. Today was the second time I had eaten at the Apple Valley IHOP. Was quite awhile since the first, since last time the food was horrendous, and service terrible. Today was no exception. Booths are very tight (I am 5' 10"/175 lbs) even for me, who is reasonably thin. My son plucked out 5 hairs from his Chocolate Pancakes, which were the only food item that we had gotten that was decent tasting. My wife had a Garden Omelet, which was tasteless, and Hashbrowns that just didn't do it for her. I had a Bacon and Egg Burger, which had some nasty bun on it, was very poor looking and lacked much of any flavor. My Hashbrowns tasted heavily of butter,even through a heavy dousing of Ketchup.

Lovely place I highly recommend it!

Decents Prices, Food HORRIBLE!. We had a DMC care for $9.00 off and thought we would try out this place for dinner one weekday night. We were seated in a booth in a back room. I am not a large person, but these booth was so tight for me to sit in, I had to move to another table. Once the waitress came around to take our order and brought water, we ordered our meals, and I ordered a soda. She brought me my pop. 20 minutes later she brought out our order. The food was awful. I ordered a non-breakfast item. I coulden't even stomach eating it. I ate off my wives plate which consisted of breakfast food. We did not see our server again till she brought the bill. She did not refil drinks/water, she didn't come around and see how the food was, clearly she didn't care.
