Editorial Review for Green Mill – by Annamarie Adkins
In Short
From sports fans whooping it up at the bar to kids playing at tables and high booths, Green Mill is a rambunctious scene. The decor is surprisingly nice, given the family-friendly vibe: mahogany wood paneling, decorative glass dividers, brick walls and artsy glass light sconces. Most everyone comes for the pizza, whether it's deep-dish, stuffed or on a cracker-thin seasoned crust. Other dishes include seafood pastas and hot Italian subs.

Insider Tips
On the MenuChicago-style pizza is the specialty and deserves recognition, especially the Il Primo version piled with spicy Italian sausage, pepperoni, roasted mushrooms and four cheeses.

Highly successful "businesses" owner brother has his own table in the bar area. Smoking is allowed and the air is clean. A major "plus" for allowing smoking and cleaning the air. My much younger, 44 year old brother, in his expensive suit and cell phone attached (;-o) (very kind, too) said, "I'm like 'Norm' on 'Cheers'." Great Restaurant, Great Brother, Great Food, Great Seating, Great Service, Great Parking AND Great Smoking and Air Quaility. PLEASE SEND THIS ENTIRE REVIEW TO ANOKA COUNTY SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES, REP. CATHY TINGLESTAD, SEN. DEBBIE JOHNSON (Debbie important), MINNEAPOLIS STARTRIBUNE, ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS AND ANOKA COUNTY PAPER!!!!! Brother active politically and owns MANY businesses in Anoka County, Minneapolis and Even St. Paul! My brother has also been on the City Coucil and has been in the top position for all of Minnesota's (or greater) Realtors as the Director of Realtors and the Realtors' Association (no longer has time), is active with family, church and employs many hundred employees. He is an Anoka County, Lino Lakes resident and one of his realty offices is across the parking lot from your restaurant. You'll know who he is when you read this. My entire immediate family has been active politically (our son on TV when he was Junior in High School) and our Rep. Tinglestad and Sen. Johnson know us by name. Please be sure to send this to them, with my e-mail address! Please contact me by e-mail for further endorsement of your restaurant, further information about politics, for my brother's e-mail (I'd get his permission) and coupons! :-) "Have a nice day." The restaurant was nice-enough looking and we were seated promptly. The menu was large; we decided to skip the pizza and I ordered a chicken sandwich. My husband had a walleye dinner. The entire time we waited for our meal there was a tray ready to be picked up at the waitress station. It sat there for over 15 minutes. My sandwich was so plain it wasn't worth words. My husbands fish looked good, but we both were surprised at the accompanying vegetables. It was literally about 2 tablespoons. Very tiny proportions. Also, according to the menu it came with garlic potato wedges and they flat out asked him, fries or hashbrowns, which I suppose is easier for them. Not impressed at all. The sad thing is, they couldn't lure us back, even with a two-for-one coupon...it was that sub-mediocre.
Pros: ok parking
Cons: tiny side portions, they substitute menu , items
