Tips for Panera Bread

March 02, 2013

I am unsure about this location, however I was looking to find the location of the Panera bread on Nicollet Mall and 8th street,in Mpls. Because I had a horrible experience there. The woman who runs the place in this location, threw me out of the resteraunt forever, because someone else who was NOT me and was not related to me, caused some sort of issue for this woman. She rolled a cigarette by hand on the table. Now mind you, she was not smoking it, nor even holding it afterward. She rolled it from loose tobacco, and then put it aside. It was a crowded day and many folks had to share tables or sit close together, and she and I were doing this. This woman comes to our table, tells the person she cannot roll tobacco in the eating area., so she goes to put away the items immediately. While she is still putting things away, this woman tells her never to return. WHY? She was doing what was asked of her. It was unfair, and she told her so. This manager or owner, then turns to ME, who is doing nothing other than having a coffee, and tells me I am thrown out as well, for life, and she never wants to find me in there again either. WHAT?? I was not the one doing anything. I do not even smoke, and sure in heck was not rolling tobacco, nor anything like it. I was drinking a cup of coffee I had just purchased at the place before I sat down, also. This woman says to me, with coffee in hand, that I also never buy anything. All I do is sit around loitering, and she wants me gone. She tells me this as I am drinking my beverage that I JUST paid for in cash from HER store. What a load of crap, and unfair situation I did not deserve one bit. Thrown out of a place for no reason, over something another person was doing, I was not. Also because I "never buy anything", yet I had bought a beverage just minutes before being asked to leave forever. I wish places actually had to have a legitimate REASON to remove someone, and if they did not they could not make them go. This right to refuse service for any reason, nonsense, makes for discriminatory actions such as this one.She simply never liked me, my style, or my beliefs or whatever it was, and made a nonsense excuse to remove me. That should be illegal, but instead its encouraged, and it is wrong!

Fresh-baked goods, fresh-brewed coffee and creative sandwiches served up in relaxed, roomy surroundings.. In Short
Bright colors and comfortable furniture give this chain cafe a laid-back feel, with scattered tables that beckon coffee-sipping readers, chatters and diners. All baked goods--bagels, muffins, two dozen kinds of bread--are made fresh on the premises. Sandwiches include turkey-artichoke panini and Asiago roast beef, plus standards like chicken salad and smoked turkey. Soups change daily, but popular choices like broccoli and cheese, chicken noodle and French onion are always on the menu.
