Great night to spend with friends. I went to Psycho Suzi's with very low expectations. My friends decided they were going to take me to Suzi's for my bachelorette party. I called ahead to see if I could get reservations and was unable to. The manager told me it was first come first serve. When I told her it was on Saturday she filled me in on how busy it may be and that she would help me find a table but with 18 people we may have to wait a bit. I was a little nervous about how this night was going to pan out, but as my friends and I agreed that this was the perfect spot to kick of the night we continued with the initial plan of starting at Suzi's. With low expectations my friends and I rolled up to Suzi's at around 8pm. It was busy, so the first thing I did was look around and see if I could spot a manager. But I didn't have to look very hard. In no time at all I was approached by a very bubbly Suzi's employee who told us we could go ahead and take a look around and seat ourselves. When I introduced myself and said I had called earlier about a bachelorette party she knew exactly who I was. She looked on her computer and said that there was probably a table opening up very shortly and she would direct us to the location....but first suggested we grab a shot at the bar as a way to start the evening...GREAT IDEA! She then met us and walked us over to the table. In no time at all the table opened up and we had a great place to sit back in the area behind the deck that is covered with tarps. Our server was busy...you could see that...but she at our table within seconds saying hello and getting drink orders. Our food came out in reasonable time and was soooooooooo delicious. All and all it was such a great night! I am so happy we went and started with Suzi's. They completely wowed me with their great service and their absolutely delicious food. I will absolutely go here again!
TikiTastic!.
I LOVE LOVE LOVED the place! I've lived in Minneapolis for years, but every time I went the place was too full to get a seat so I ended up just getting drinks. I went in the early evening recently and was charmed. My server was amazing, super cute. I think her name was Jamie.
I got the chicken gremlins with the sauce that they come with, but I also got a side of the Buffalo Wing sauce. I liked that the buffalo wing sauce had a little kick. It was delicious! My friend got the Monterey Sandwich and I had a bite and that was great too!
Great Atmosphere, quirky! Good Bloodies!
I think I might have to become a regular.
Service is Terrible. I can honestly say this place is the worst run, managed restaurant I have ever been at. I wish I could pinpoint the incompetence, but it started with the waitress and did not stop with the manager. I would not ever go back and will advise anyone that will listen to avoid this place at all costs. We caught them trying to sneak in extra costs (not the stupid drink deposit, either) They were actually trying to charge us for appetizers/meals that we did not order. Maybe they were trying to pad their liquor - food sales numbers, to stay legal. Complete scam. A true buyer beware establishment.
Outstanding Customer Service.
Psycho Suzi's is an exceptional place to go on a first date. The relaxing atmosphere and fun decor was a great conversation starter, and reviewing the drink menu was nearly as much fun as consuming the drinks. You can also buy the mugs, which are different for every drink, and bring them back with you for some good memories.
I actually had forgotten to buy my date's mug and purchased my own, and not realized it until the day after. I called the manager of Psycho Suzi's, Matt was his name, and they took the time to wrap and ship the mug to my date's house. And, the best part is, they didn't charge an extraordinary amount of money to do this for me.
Needless to say, we will be going back. An excellent vacation from normalcy.
Awesome bar. I love this place! Great service, cool decor, huge patio, STRONG drinks. I have never had bad service, contrary to what some people say. I try to go a couple times a month but wouldn't consider myself a regular. Drinks & food have always come at top speed, barely enuf time to smoke a cig between order & delivery. I usually bring my dog(s). Best of all, never seen any kids. An ADULT bar! Thank you Suzi!!
Trying too hard !. Dont people realize that its not being original , or non- conformist, when everyone tries to be the same?Geez man WTF?Suzies is a dive without redemption, the service is unfreindly, and stuck on themselves! The place smells like urinal cake(mmmmm goes with your fries right?)The place is not unique, its just the same old crap in different drag.Drag! So frickin' loud I can't hold a thought let alone a conversation. If this joint is representative of the midwest ,who gives a rats ass if Superior overflows.....Like Cayce predicted!
The best people watching in town!. Yummy food and really fun just to hang out and watch all the different people! It's such a diverse group that goes here, it's always fun! But if you are looking for a nice quiet place to eat..look somewhere else.
Rude and disrespected.
My family and I were extremely excited to celebrate a birthday party at this establishment. This was the one place the birthday girl had wanted to go. When we arrived, the “bouncer” would not let us in because he had stated the birthday girl stumbled walking up towards the door. When I tried to explain that she actually was sober and recovering from colon cancer, he gave me the cold shoulder and instructed us to leave. Again I tried to explain that because of her condition she isn’t “light” on her feet like the typical person. He was not only rude, but unwilling to listen to the reasons for the “stumble”. I tried to explain that she had especially wanted to come to Psycho Suzi’s for her birthday…
After being rudely treated, the group of 11 of us decided to move on to the next bar. I was quite offended by the encounter with the “bouncer” and called the bar directly. Once transferred to the manager, I was given the same run around about how he had to trust his “bouncers” judgment and could have cared less that my aunt was suffering from a debilitating and unfortunately deadly disease and simply wanted to enjoy the atmosphere of his establishment. I have never been so rudely and inhumanely treated in my entire life. It really makes me sick that in this day and age, people disrespect one another like this and have such little compassion for someone with this type of sickness.
