Personal Injury Case. We have been working with Doug and Stephanie on my brother's case since December 2009, when he was involved in a car accident that left him with a Traumatic Brain Injury. When looking for an attorney for my brother (we live out of state), we came across the Schmidt Law Firm website and contacted Doug right away. I just want to say that in the past, I worked for two law firms, one of them being a Personal Injury Law Firm. I had my reservations since I didn't like the atmosphere that I worked in, I found it to be extremely unprofessional. Let me say that Doug and his firm are top notch! You want them to work on your case. They are compassionate, loyal, caring, and understanding. They treat you as if you are a part of their family. They have helped us from the beginning and they continue to help us. I wouldn't want any other law firm representing my brother. Thank you so much and thank you for always staying in contact with us. It's been a difficult 3 years for our family. Thanks!

Personel injury case. I've been working with Doug for over 3 yrs now and the time frame was due to "My Doctors" and not Doug!! But Doug didn't give up but he took the time to gather more information about my case and my medical treatment and the "lack of medical treatment"!! Doug is "Old School" when it comes to law and preparing for a case and it showed when it came to dealing with the opposition! After the last deposition the other law firm agreed without question to litigation and not a court case! I totally recomend Mr. Schmidt to any one that wants to get quality care, and total attention to your case from a highly qualified staff there is no one better!! Sincerely Brian K. Olson

PASSION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMFORT. As a paralegal that did my internship with the Douglas E. Schmidt Law Office I want to say that I could not have asked for a better experience. With their focus on the client and doing all that can be done in the best interest of each client, these people know what they are doing. I learned so much and was able to witness, first hand, a master at work.

I have been to court and arbitrations with Doug Schmidt and all I can say is, “I would want him on MY side!” You could tell that he held the respect of the judges and opposing counsel, and with his vast experience Doug is knowledgeable, passionate, and driven by what he loves doing, being the attorney he is.

The staff is a working dynamic behind Doug, with an amazing system that keeps Doug on the move, as if anyone could slow him down. As an intern communication with the client was top priority, if not available you returned that call within 24 hours of receiving it. The staff is so knowledgeable and the experts in your case, but if a client was having problems, there was no hesitation from Doug to take their call when available or get back to them as soon as he could.

I hope that I never need to use the services of Doug Schmidt and his crew, but it’s a BIG comfort to know EXACTLY where I’m going if I do need them!

In response to "No Comment". I am currently a client of the Schmidt Law Firm. I was very badly injured in a slip and fall incident. My case is against a major corporation. I made the mistake of hiring one of the largest personal injury law firms that advertises a lot and is very well-known. My case was neglected and poorly handled. My attorney showed up at my deposition without proper preparation-of both me and himself. It was a disaster! I finally fired him and went looking for another law firm. I talked to many and finally decided on the Schmidt Law Firm. The result was unbelievably good! As bad as the first lawyer was, Doug Schmidt and his staff were that exceptional. They are respectful, competent, and aggressive. The attitude from the lawyers for the defense immediately changed. I could tell that they knew that they were in for a battle. I have given the Schmidt Law Firm a 5 star rating and wish that I could give it a 10 or a 20!!! If you look carefully at the reviews that are posted, you will see that many of the reviews are from clients that have had a bad experience with another law firm and switched to the Schmidt Law Firm with excellent results!!!!!

This is the BEST!!! ... Really Forget The REST!!. First of all I must thank you Doug, for believing in me, and taking me on as your client. Second of all for your kind staff. It actually is a joy to talk to them. I know that YOU are a winner because you are so engaged along with your staff. You have shown me just how a law firm should act. Thank you to you and your staff. I appreciate all that you are doing to try and help me and I will be happy to work right along side of them. Trust me this is one lawyer who will believe in you, trust you, and treat you with the utmost respect along with his friendly staff. They don't act like you are a bother, or your case is just too small, or you are unimportant.It is just the opposite. You are treated like you are the only one, and they actually make you feel like they care and they do care. Don,t make the mistake I made taking a lawyer and just believeing he was going to do his job because he had his name under a big marquee. Wrong!! I can save you a lot of heartache and time. Just check out this Law Firm and meet with Doug and or his staff and you will know instantly that all those lawyer stero types and jokes do in no way pertain to the way Doug and his staff act. Doug is confidient, thorough, efficient, and a winner. I learned this the hard way from a law firm I was involved with that didn't have the time of day for me. The lawyer actually went to a deposition, and never knew I had a second surgery. After botching my case up, and interviewing lawyers, I knew Doug was the one. I prayed hard that God would intervine and send me to the right lawyer. The next day I met Doug. Now I thank God. I know it was devine intervention, and I thank Doug for taking me on and believing in me and knowing that I was really hurt. This is a winning law firm. A big thank you to Doug, Roxanne, Debbie, Alisha, Stephanie, and the rest of the staff. I learned a lot from these people. #1 that they care and I count. The Best In Mid West, No Doubt, No Comparison. Doug has been my HERO from day one. I knew from the moment he picked up the phone and spoke to me that justice will prevail. He asked me the details of my accident right away and he was patient enough with me since I was dealing with memory issues. He encouraged me not to lose hope and scheduled to meet with him. From the beginning he has made me feel like a person not a just another client on his book, or a number. His entire staff has been so good. They were very helpful throughout the entire process and they never gave up on me no matter what; that shows how professional and dedicated they all are."BRAVO" to all of the staff. My case was handled well and faster than I expected. I give all the credit to Doug and his staff. I wish to share this experience with everyone I know and even will continue to share my story with people I don't know so they can have the same experience as mine; which will give them the best results sooner than later with less headaches. I have been very fortunate to have this team working on my b. I have been working with the Schmdt Law Firm since my automobile accident in December, 2009. I have been well informed by all of the paralegals: Shawn, Patricia, Colleen, and Vanessa as well as Doug Schmidt, Attorney, on any and all changes in my case. They have been very respectful to me in all of our interactions from phone calls, e-mails, and office visits. I have been very fortunate to have this team working on my behalf.

Doug dazzled me with his brilliance and depth in courtroom p. Over two years ago Doug Schmidt represented me in two traffic accidents.

The first one Doug settled for $45,000 which was the standard formula for my accident.

The second one Doug dazzled me with his brilliance and depth in courtroom procedures. He was able to get their insurance company to pay the policy limits of $100,000 and then he filed an underinsured claim in Hennepin County Court where we went to trial for five days and we were awarded $385,000 by the jury. Doug was very impressive as he battled Allstate’s lawyer.

I was very proud of Doug and recommend him highly to anyone who wants the best to represent them. Again, thank you Doug for being the “very best!”

Great team to work with. I and two friends returning from a fishing trip to North Dakota to Wis had the misfortune of being in a serious accident on interstate 694. We were taken to the hospital and checked out. That was the beginning of a long process. We hired Mr Schimdt and team and were met in Wis. to have our statements taken. From that point our cases were handled in a very meticulous manner and even from the distance we had no issues with all the communication that had to be done. I can't say enough about the team effort, working with Colleen and with Mr. Schimdt.
