Excellent Large Group Accomodations. We recently had a large group dinner at Fire Lake for my boyfriend's 30th birthday celebration, and it was wonderful! I planned the party through their event coordinator, Belinda, who was fantastic to work with. She did an outstanding job making sure everything was just right and that I was happy. The private dining area was perfect for our group, the staff was attentive and accomodating, and the food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a great time. I will highly recommend them to anyone looking for a large group venue.…
Mediocre. Slow service. Overpriced for what my wife and I thought of the meal.
Good Food, not bad priced.
This restaurant had a really nice relaxing atmosphere, the waiter was really helpful, nice, always checked on us, i have no complaints.
The food just wasn't my cup of tea, it just wasn't a flavor that i enjoyed, it might be seasonal but i'm just not a cranberry fan. My husband had a steak-medium rare, he enjoyed it a lot.
I'm more of a chicken person rather than meat, so the restaurant just wasn't for me. Otherwise it was very enjoyable and if you sit in the dining area its pretty intimidate if you are on a date and whatnot.
Overall i would recommend.…
Just Decent.
Walked in and thought the atmosphere was nice and inviting. We decided to order the Spinach Fondue and that was really good. The bread was a little salty but who doesn't like salt? My wife ordered
the walleye and it above average. The corn crust didn't really seem to cover that much. It was more walleye with a light coating of breading. The walleye itself was fresh and didn't taste fishy at all. The fries were really good. I ordered the honey pork-chop based off of previous reviews. It was big but over-cooked. Maybe it was an off night but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be.
Overall, it was a decent meal and might try again but with so many options in downtown, it might be awhile.…
Hella Pork Chop. The pork chops are huge, impressive, and way tasty. Being quite large, there is no possible way they could be cooked to order in the time afforded an average patron for dinner. Consequently they are cooked earlier and stored. This seems odd, but it is a common practice with large cuts of meat. Ok, so... I received *my* chop and it was barely warm which was unfortunate because I was quite excited. I sent it back to be reheated and it returned a bit browner but still not warm enough. I almost suggested it be brought up to a core temp of at least 150f but elected to finish it as is. If this chop was to temperature, it would have been the best one I have ever had. The apple and yam side was amazing however the rosemary garnish mildly reeked of mildew. It is the opinion of this writer that a bit more attention to the details would propel this restaurant's stellar menu to new heights.…
