fun atmosphere, ok food. went there this Sat afternoon with my family, we have eaten at the Babba Gumps in Maui and it was great. The one here wasn't as good food wise but the atmosphere was nice. I had the shrimp po boy sandwich and it was ok, needs more seasoning, there wasn't much flavor. My son had breaded shrimp and he enjoyed it but you can get better at any local Red Lobster. Our waitress was great, she even sat down and talked to us for awhile which was nice. At one point in the meal I flipped up the little sign to get a waitress to stop since I needed a refill on the soda, one stopped right away and I told her I needed a refill, before I even had time to flip the sign back over there was a waiter at our table rudly telling us to flip the sign back. I don't know how he missed the fact that the waitress was just there a split second before he was and there is no way I had time to flip it back yet. That was a little annoying. Foods just ok but it's worth going there once just to experience it. (if you're already at the mall).
This "Forrest Gump" theme restaurant serves up shrimp and movie memorabilia nationwide..
In Short
With its distressed-wood bar and framed "Gump"-isms, this franchise is teaming with kitschy fun. Chock-full of movie memorabilia, framed still images from the film line the walls while Depression-era props perch on shelves. Expect a piped-in, good-time vibe: Smiling servers quiz diners on movie trivia. Popcorn shrimp, peel-and-eat shrimp, shrimp po' boys--practically every preparation Bubba ever conceived is available in huge portions for not much money.
Good food but not great. My family stoped in about 3:30. We were seated right away. We did not get our food for over a half hour after we placed our order. While we waited my wife and I had a draft beer. They charged us almost $8 a piece for a large micro brew draft beer. Once we got our food we noticed that our sons food was cool and had been sitting out for a while. We could not track down our server nor did he come by to check on us untill we were finished. Our entres were good but I was disapointed that they did not have some of what I would consider "staple cajun" dishes. This is a fun place to eat at and they do have a good gift shop. The food is good but I would not make a special trip for it. This is not a great value.
run forest run. had to wait forever to get seated, server was way anoying but i guess that what they are suposed to do, food was on the expensive side.
Fun. The restaurant was incredibly busy for a sunday night when we went but despite the line to be seated it was a mere 10 minutes or so before we were at our table and had gotten our drinks. The food was amazing and I highly recommend the Salmon and Veggie Skillet. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. The experience was made even more unique with the trivia contest we had with our neighboring table and we were quizzed by our waiter. The service was great. The sign system they have worked great. We needed a drink and within 1 minute we had a server there refilling.
Great Food. The service was fast and friendly. The trivia quiz added a special element to the dinner. The food was served quickly. We received large portions for a great price!!! I would suggest this restaurant!!
Very dissapointed. Horrible experince throughout the meal from the time we were seated and asked by the host to move to a different table since he brought us to the wrong one, to getting our meals exactly one minutes after our appetizers were brought out. I had a great time a the San Francisco Bubba Gump but won't be returning to this one.
never going back. horrible experience, will never return. bad service poor food. just all around a waste of time and money. oh and check your credit card statement make sure it matches.
