Perfect. Great Salon with very experienced and talented stylist. I have visited this store now for over 3 years and have never walked out at the end of an appointment dissatisfied. The customer service is above and beyond.

Ratings of 1/5 should be considered obsolete. Specific example being, kvam. They mention they waited for 25 minutes unattended and no one spoke to them. "Just a thought", they could have maybe tried to approach the service desk after maybe 10 minutes see what the delay was (in a polite manner) instead of being smug and think that people need to approach you.

To put it shortly, if you give detailed explanations or bring in photos of the style of hair you want, there is no concern over them screwing up your hair. Everyone in the store is very professional and charismatic, which only compliments the great service they provide.

Setting the record straight. Normally I wouldn't even comment on sites like these, but I feel there is something to be said about telling the truth. You see the review done by kvam, is not accurate. I don't know anything about the tonka bay store being closed on Sundays, I wasn't around to witness that situation, however everything that was said about the eden prairie location was false. I was there that day. First off the situation with the massage therapist was correct. There was a family emergency, and as soon as that came to light the lady in question was informed of the situation. I know that the manager on duty offered to call the sanctuary to see if they could fit her in there. Also she was offered 50% off the massage for the inconvenience and was offered the pedicure at 25% off. Also she paid 25% off an Express pedicure and received a deluxe pedicure for the same price. She was never told there wasn't enough time. Also I happen to know that she has come back to the salon. Many times. She is a regular. I just thought the last post was inappropriate.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!. I have a long Horrid story. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I called the Salon on Hwy 19, the recording said they were open on Sundays. I drove all the way there & they were closed! I then called the next day & spoke with the gal that ans'd the phone & told her of recording & that I drove out there. Her reply, was that they do not know how to change the message. I tell her I work in telecommunications & I could help them change their greeting (free), she replied, that "she is just a stylist". No one ever returned my call. I then tried to book one of their services "Wake me when it is over, pedicure" & they tell me that they do not have the bed yet but I could try their Eden Priairie Salon. THE NIGHTMARE CONTINUES, I call the EP salon & am told they also do not have the bed for it & that it has been back ordered since last August of 2007! Just a thought, but maybe they should take if off the menu? I then booked a pedicure & an 80 minute lavendar massage - for my BDAY!. I arrrived on time, got into a room & changed & proceed to sit there for 25 minutes UNATTENDED! No one speaks to me, offers me water, nothing, I think I have been forgotten. Finally, a gal comes in to tell me that the massage therapist has had a family emergency (that, I can understand) but the leaving me alone, unattended for so long was nuts! They then offer me 25% off my next visit, I point out the cards sitting on the front desk, inviting anyone to a 25% off their first visit (this was my first visit) so they were offering me NOTHING. I then had to wait for my pedicure & asked if I could upgrade my pedicure & they proceeded to tell me that she didn't have time, now remember, I was booked after an 80 minute massage for a pedicure - SHE HAD THE TIME, I WAS HER NEXT CUSTOMER! When I left, they said, they were sorry, offered me nothing, nothing!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$

I WOULD NEVER, NEVER GO BACK TO THIS SALON. IT CAUSED ME GREAT STRESS, RUINED THE MORNING OF MY BIRTHDAY.

Good service, nice staff.. I went to the Tonka Bay Uru Khu Salon. I was a model for their higher training program. It was a very good experience for me. I have long hair, very long hair which goes to my behind. I was going from bottle dark reddish brown hair, which was also 4 months grown out, and I wanted to go to a medium or darker blond. Not an easy job. I had two stylists, Elisabeth and Leanna, both were friendly and eager to make me comfortable. They were careful not to over-process my hair, which was one of my main concerns, considering how much lightening was was going to be done and how much hair I have. I received a hand massage during my color and a free makeup session. I don't know if that is their normal routine, but I enjoyed it. All the staff that I met there that day was kind and upbeat. At the end I was told about the products that were used on me during my session, but I didn't really feel pressure to purchase anything. All in all I enjoyed my time there and am satisfied with the end result.
