Drink prices are ABSURD. AndrewG86, drinks aren't that expensive?? Either you were there for happy hour or you just won the lottery. Pass on this place, people...you'll find better deals on drinks at the airport. Seriously.…
Beer selection - Great; Service - Hit or miss.
(I wish this rating system had a 3.5)
Drinks:
The beer selection here is great. They also have a respectable scotch selection. They don't really have that great of specials, but the drinks aren't that expensive ... they're pretty average.
Food:
I've never had an actual meal here, only appetizers. But I think I've had about every appetizer on the menu at least once (the nachos ... like 20 times) and I would say they're all great ... and for a good price during happy hour too. Definitely go with the nachos if you're having a beer or two. It's gigantic ... and tastes great.
Service:
The service is really hit or miss with this place ... some days the waitstaff will be busy with several tables and still get around to serving you in a timely fashion ... but other days there will be 3 servers with only 6 or 7 tables of customers and you'll wait 20 minutes for the server to come around the first time, 10 minutes to get your drink after you've ordered it and 20 minutes to get your credit card back after you've paid. This wasn't just a one time deal ... it seems like 20% of the time this happens to me. It is definitely worth coming back for the 80% chance of having good service.
Would I ever go back? ... yes…
The all-American menu is solid at this temple to all things sports-related..
In Short
Majors has a cool, classy vibe with stone tiles, blond-oak woodwork, big windows and an airy atrium dining room. Dozens of large-screen TVs are tuned to the game as local softball
and broomball teams celebrate (or commiserate). Families, dates and groups also come to wash down burgers and fries with local microbrews. Picky eaters opt for build-your-own hearth-over pizzas while more creative palates enjoy jambalaya and braised turkey legs.…
Just read the review.. The good, very cool sports bar atmosphere and the lunch carvery station buffet(weekdays). The bad, OWNERS. I'll tell my story. Our waitress is the bartender. She is friendly, talking with us when a guy comes over and begins RIPPING into her at our table. He's swearing and... We find out he is not a customer, not a manager but AN OWNER. Yes, an owner. To make things even better, a different guy comes around and starts reaming him out. Who is this? A different owner. Who are these clowns? With some research I found out they own both Decoy's and Sydney's. Wonder why all of these are failing. To the owners, get a clue!! SERIOUSLY!…
KFAN--THE ONLY SPORTS BAR FOR ME. This is an exceptional sports bar, with the exception of the outdoor dining area, you can constantly hear the loud speaker coming from next door at Midway Ford, that gets a bit annoying. Other than that, KFAN is the best.…
