Editorial Review for Major's Sports Cafe – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Majors has a cool, classy vibe with stone tiles, blond-oak woodwork, big windows and an airy atrium dining room. Dozens of large-screen TVs are tuned to the game as local softball and broomball teams celebrate (or commiserate). Families, dates and groups also come to wash down burgers and fries with local microbrews. Picky eaters opt for build-your-own hearth-over pizzas while more creative palates enjoy jambalaya and braised turkey legs.

The good, very cool sports bar atmosphere and the lunch carvery station buffet(weekdays). The bad, OWNERS. I'll tell my story. Our waitress is the bartender. She is friendly, talking with us when a guy comes over and begins RIPPING into her at our table. He's swearing and... We find out he is not a customer, not a manager but AN OWNER. Yes, an owner. To make things even better, a different guy comes around and starts reaming him out. Who is this? A different owner. Who are these clowns? With some research I found out they own both Decoy's and Sydney's. Wonder why all of these are failing. To the owners, get a clue!! SERIOUSLY!

This is an exceptional sports bar, with the exception of the outdoor dining area, you can constantly hear the loud speaker coming from next door at Midway Ford, that gets a bit annoying. Other than that, KFAN is the best.

The all-American menu is solid at this temple to all things sports-related.  See the full editorial review.
