Fantastic restaurant - amazing food, unique flavors‎

I usually don’t spend the time to write reviews but Singapore is an amazing restaurant and I wanted to get the word out there. I get Asian take-out every day and have tried dozens of different restaurants, mostly authentic, around the Twin Cities. Singapore is definitely one of my top three for many reasons. All around, the food is incredibly good. The spices are by far the best in the Cities. The food is very fresh and top quality. It’s very authentic. Not to mention almost everything on the menu is unique and something you can’t get from any other restaurant. The flavors are complex, interesting, and really really good. The cook is incredibly friendly and a great pleasure to talk to. She knows me by name and knows what flavors I like the best. I always chat with the cook when I go to get take-out. The decor is unique, an enjoyable place to dine. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food you get. It’s surprising that the restaurant is not more well-known but once the word gets out I’m sure this will be a favorite of anybody who likes authentic Asian food.

• Cons: Can't think of any, may be out of the way for some people

Long Wait

I ordered food from here twice. Both times the delivery man was MIA. They didn't know where he was even though they advertise free delivery. The wait for the food was rediculous, almost 40 minutes. And then after waiting for so long the dumplings and curry rolls were completely burnt. The food was good but the service was horrible even though the lady who owns the place and cooks the food was very nice.

• Pros: The captain curry and dumplings are pretty delicious.
• Cons: Long wait and burnt food

Need to go back, ASAP

I went here about a week ago for take out. I had received a $5 off coupon in the mail and thought I'd give it a try. My first impression was a little strange. The women who owns it is also the chef and she was in the kitchen when I arrived so I had to peak my head in the kitchen to get her attention so she would come out for me to order. There was no one else eating in the restaurant at the time, not that that would stop me from eating there in the future.

But the food, oh the food. I was really blown away. The captain's curry was amazing. The description says it has like 27 spices and they all mixed together perfectly for this wonderful dish. The owner suggested a few other dishes, as well, but said the captain's curry was probably the most popular. She also suggested a few other spicy "stir-fry" dishes that I'm excited to try, as well.

On my way out the door, she handed me my food and said that she gave me extra rice so that I have enough for leftovers which was good because the curry was enough for 2 meals.

Overall, I can't wait to go back.
