What People Are Saying About Patrick's French Bakery & Cafe

In Short – "We bring France to you!" is the slogan of this pastry shop, and it's the sweet truth. The Parisian-born owners have built a sandwich counter and outdoor eatery inside the flagship Bachman's floral and garden center. Local office workers aware of the Patrick's Richfield success find a lunchtime retreat in sandwiches made with fresh French breads and baguettes, although Bachman's customers are also known to pop in for an apricot soleil or creme brulee.

- In addition to eat-in meals, Patrick's Bakery & Cafe will also accept fax orders for box lunches.
Twin Cities best French Café
by Carrie Prz at Citysearch
While visiting a friend in in St. Paul I asked him to take me to the bakery with the best croissants... he hit the nail on the head for sure!
The atmosphere is romantic being that it's set inside a flower and gift shop, so not only do you have the scents wafting from the bakery but you can also smell all the lush flowers like you're dining in a garden.
This was truly my favorite bakery experience to date!
- Pros: Best croissants and lunch
most romantic ambiance ever!

i loved this place, its a cafe inside bachman's. seating is patio style inside the nursery greenhouse with serene music. the decor is breathtaking and pastry selecting so so tempting! all the food - salads, sandwiches and quiches are premade, but they are great! apparently their richfield location is larger and serves breakfast/lunch/dinner. waiting to go check it out.
- Pros: ambience
Wonderful French pastries, relaxing & unique atmosphere

My boyfriend and I were looking for an authentic French bakery in the Twin Cities. I love nothing more than a good croissant and cup of strong coffee for breakast. But so many times pan au chocolat ends up with super-sweet chocolate filling a greasy croissant. This was not the case at Patrick's. At Patrick's the chocolate croissants were very similar to croissants I have enjoyed in France: a strip of dark chocolate in the middle of a light and flaky croissant. Perfect! Their desserts and quiches are delicious as well.
We also loved the casual and relaxed atmosphere in their unique greenhouse cafe. We were pleasantly surprised and have been back numerous times and will keep going back! I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys wonderful French bread and pastries!
- Pros: delicious pastries, great atmosphere

The Trilogy chocolate Mousse Cake

I took the biggest risk with ordering my husbands 30th birthday cake. I had absolutely no time to go and try the selection. After ordering on the phone, I kept my fingers crossed.
The Cake was Exceptional. My husband loved it so much that now he looks for excuses to get that cake for our friends' birthday, so that he can eat and enjoy thoroughly!
