Nice Neighborhood Place. This is a nice place, kind of hidden in the neighborhood. But when you find it, you will feel at home. First there is a small deli when you go inside and then around the corner is the restaurant. I am not a fan of watching the cooks while I dine, but they weren't as stand out as at some places. The pizza was quite good and had a sauce that was memorable. The toppings were not skimpy either, which is always nice. Their spaghetti was a little on the expensive side for what my partner got, but it was very good. And the italian sausage was a great addition to it. We both decided we would go back again- maybe for a weekend breakfast!

What a great place!!!. Friendly staff, owner is usually there almost 24/7. The food is the best this side of the Mississippi. Fresh made on the premises sauces, dough and NJ style cheesecake that is to die for.

My new favorite pizza place. A friend who also lives in the north turned me on to Papa's, and I haven't been dissapointed, yet. The sauce is nice and tangy, and it tastes so fresh. The topping list has all the traditional favorites but has a lot of variety like feta or artichokes that you just can't find many places near North Minneapolis. The most distinguisting factor to me is the crust. It's a thinner hand-tossed that holds up to whatever toppings you throw on it. Biting into provides a chewy/crispy texture that makes me melt. (I adore bread.) The crust is as good as the pizzas I had in Rome, Italy, and it's superior to Punch's pizza. Their pasta and appetizers are equally as good, but as a pizza fiend, I would eat the pizza daily if I could.

Papa's got it!!!. I really love pizza. I have worked in 3 different pizza restaurants that had pretty popular and yummy pizza but, what I really like about Papa's pizza that it is classically good pizza. The sauce is flavorful the cheese is tasty and most of the ingredients are fresh. Support our local North Side Pizzeria. Oh and don't forget to try the homemade cheesecake, it's spectacular!

Best Pizza in Minneapolis. This pizza is great. The sauce is made in-house. The ingredients are always fresh. The owner in always working there and the service is always gracious. Try it. You will not be disappointed. My husband and I lived in New York and this place actually beats most pizzarias in Manhattan. The owner/manager is a New Jersey native who knows his stuff. You can dine in and have beer and wine. Linger as long as you want the chairs are cushy. Great place for all ages.

Cozy neighborhood spot.... We visit often and truly appreciate the friendly staff, good food and atmosphere. This is a place where you always leave feeling appreciated as a customer and neighbor - kind of like small town living.

There is plenty of parking, patio seating in summer, families and couples.

I do wish they used fresh herbs, but they they have their own style and I respect that. We will certainly continue to support our neighborhood eatery. Welcome to the North side!

Hidden Gem. I'm so lucky to have found this hidden gem near my home in North Mpls! Stopped in one night after work, was greeted with a friendly smile and how can I help you? Ordered a pizza and garlic bread to go - while I waited, sipped on a glass of wine and chatted with Papa. If I lived in Greenwich Village, I would like to think it would be like Papa's Pizza. He chatted with me and all his other customers. He mentioned how he won't be offering delivery as he wants to get to know his customers, not is drivers. Papa, thank you for opening in North Mpls - you'll be seeing me more often! Keep up the great work!
