the best seafood EVER!. Worth the wait! We had a wonderful dinner, following the suggestions of our waiter, Nick. The muscles were indeed the best ever - a creamy lemon garlic sauce that had a nice kick, served with thin-sliced baguette. Delicious! We shared the swordfish, grilled asparagus and the cheese cake WITH bananas and had plenty of food! Nick made spot-on recommendations. It was a hopping, noisy Saturday evening, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We wished there had been a few more options for wine by the glass, but enjoyed what we had. Parking isn't easy, and we opted for valet after searching for a spot on the street. We'll go back for sure! There were so many delicious-looking entree options.

Stella's. What a disappointment! We had been waiting all week for this: My daughter's graduation from college, Mother's Day, and generally just being together. When I made the rezzies, I fervently requested to be up on one of the roofs. I understand why we didn't get to--it was pretty busy. BUT, here is what I didn't understand;

1. a loud table placed right in the lane of traffic--our waiter wouldn't change it because other people had it reserved. I couldn't quite understand what she said because it was so damn loud. The other party came about 45 minutes later.

2. a menu with many things GONE. No stuffed fish, no walleye, no 6 different things! At 6:30 on Mother's Day!

3. daughter's coconut shrimp deep fried to a dark, dark brown. Dry, hard, no taste.

4. a warm "Mother's Day" martini for $5.

5. noisy noisy noisy--ok, I understand

6. a tulip glass of lame Key Lime Pie--mostly whipped cream--about 60%--for something like $7.95??????? Total and complete rip-off.

7. Waiting 15" for the check.

8. the little paper cups of sour cream and guac--musta been sitting in the cups sooooo long that when we tried to hand them around the table, the bottoms fell out.

NEVER NEVER AGAIN, ROOF OR NOT. A LOT OF MONEY SPENT ON WHAT WAS TO BE A SPECIAL DAY WHICH THEN WASN'T SO SPECIAL. From now on, we go back to the beloved Victor's for any more special days.

This bar is the worst...... To be fair, I barely know how to begin. The second time I tried to go here, I was told my id was not legitimate. After argueing for 30 minutes, they asked me to provide a credit card for verification. After I did, I was still denied entrance. Flash forward, on my 25th birthday I was denied entrance because I was "too drunk". My roommate, way more drunk than me, found this downright offensive. So, I went to drink and pounded 3 straight waters, so there was no question about it. However, I was still denied entrance for literally no reason. I did not stumble, slur, or misrepresent myself. Considering, this is an obnoxiously stupid bar. Beyond the fact that you pay "2 for 1s" when the "1" is $8.00", the bouncers are minimum wage rent-a-cops. I would recommend this bar to no one. Drink is cheaper, more fun, and your better bang for your buck. My advice: go there.

In My Top Ten Favorite Restaurants Ever. My husband and I are temporarily residing in Minneapolis area for his traveling job...and our anniversary was coming up so I looked up some fine dining restaurants on the internet and chose Stella's. I just ate dinner there for the second time and absolutely loved the food, the service, the atmosphere and the Happy Hour Specials and $19.99 Live Lobster didn't hurt. We had ahi tuna with sesame crust and a dozen oysters for appetizers...they were incrediblly fresh and the ahi was very flavorful. I had the King Crab and my husband had a (aged) New York Steak that melted in your mouth. A wonderful anniversary dinner! My birthday is in a couple days and we decided to try the $19.99 Lobster deal on Sundays. It was so good my mouth is still watering! Loved it!

We loved it!. Went out with friends and my lovely wife to Stella's the other night and was thoroughly impressed. For starters we had the Mexican Styled Oysters, OMG you have to eat this! I could have walked away right then and been as happy as could be. But we continued with other courses and were happy we did. We shared some sushi which was good, and then the sesame crusted Ahi tuna. Again, very good. Although supposedly seared, is a bit weak like the pan wasn't hot enough, a bit too overcooked for my tastes so not raw enough but good! We all split the roasted Beets salad and it was great! Love the beet salads!

We also split some entrees, the today's catch was a pan fried halibut steak with a reduction balsamic vinaigrette and a pesto sauce to top it off. YUMMY!! Put it on the menu! Then the pan seared scallops were perfectly prepared. Tender and delicious. and the Jambalaya was superb.

Would highly recommend Stella's to any fish lover and do not miss out on the Mexican styled oysters!

Oh and a great rooftop patio.
