Beware.....Pitiful Service. I called in my order and they said I can pick my pizza up in 30 minutes. I gave them an extra 10 minutes and showed up 40 minutes later. To my dismay, the rude (female) employee said they hadn't even started my pizza.
Good pizza, nice mom and pop atmosphere. Pizza was very tasty and the owner very friendly. My only complaint was that we were told no free refills on your drinks (and the cups were small). We were the only ones eating there and when I finished my first soda and asked for water, the waitress relented and gave me a another pop. I guess she was in a generous mood.
TERRIBLE customer service by an employee. The pizza is good, but terrible customer service! The young woman who answered the phone was awful! My husband and I were so pleased the first time we walked in and talked with the owner, but he needs to hire someone new. One night the weather wasn't great so we called in to get delivery. The line was busy. After a couple tries we offered to pick it up, but she told me to call back in a half hour. I said we'd come get it and she said, "no" and hung up! I don't think anyone deserves to be treated that way! What a waste of good food.
A modest joint serving up pizza, spaghetti and subs in the heart of St Paul's District del Sol..
In Short
The flashing neon sign alternating between the words "Michael's" and "Pizza" draws neighborhood diners in to this fifty-year hole-in-the-wall on the West Side's busy Robert Street. Inside, seven well broken-in booths and a jukebox rockin' The Beatles alongside Gloria Estefan await. Families sip sodas and share made-from-scratch pies, like the house special with Italian sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. There's also the Super Special: the House Special upgraded to include olives and shrimp.
