Great Hotel and Comfortable Setting

I stayed at Le Bourget several years ago back when it was the Park Inn but didn't realize it was the same hotel until I took the France, Ave. exit. I was pleasantly surprised at the differences. The staff was very friendly. I ordered room service when I arrived and the bartender who took my order and brought the food up was great.

The room was very nice and comfortable. The decor was contempory and very appealing to the eye.

Other than that the bed was very comfortable, the food from the restaurant was very good and the shampoos and soaps were superior to most other hotels I've stayed in.

I'm going back to the area and chose to stay here again rather than get Marriott points from the Residence Inn down the street so that means something.

Not what it appears!

I had been interested in staying at this hotel for quite some time, so when we had an early flight requiring us to spend the night in the cities, I was excited.

Wow, was I wrong! This hotel literally felt like an old shoe that was trying to pass for something much more sophisticated.

The hotel itself still needs some serious upgrades in order to "complete" its upscale look. The noise from the interstate can be heard very clearly all night long (pack earplugs?you're going to need them!). Additionally, the furniture is old and beat up, the bathrooms have not been upgraded, and the water takes around 4 or 5 minutes to heat up. (I actually let the shower run about 5 minutes before it was remotely warm.)

Upon checking into our room, the light in our bathroom wasn't working. The repairman promptly showed up, but he had a plunger in hand, instead of a new bulb. Judging by the size of the toilets (or lack thereof), we surmised that clogged toilets must be a very common issue. Fortunately, the repairman returned promptly again with a new bulb and we were set.

The staff was rather friendly, but this was an awful way to get a "rested" start on our trip. I was happy we only had to stay here one night and was more upset that this hotel was listed as a three star, when clearly it should have been a two or one star. I didn?t like being ?tricked? into believing this was a trendy and upscale luxury hotel.

• Cons: This hotel is awful. The website makes it look upscale when it isn't.

Very comfortable for the price!

This was a wonderful place to park-n-fly out of MSP. What a delighful place--very quiet, not too loud with kids, etc. The rooms were very nice-- the room we stayed in didn't have a flat screen TV like some but still was decent. This used to be a doubletree they turned into the Le Bourget.. Nice beds!! The bedding was luxurious. The parking lot is easy access to bring in luggage etc... I would stay again!

• Pros: Beds are the best; L'Occitane bath products; park-n-fly shuttle
• Cons: "they don't know french"--just kidding!
