This restaurant is no longer open. It went bankrupt, heard someone else was going to buy it, but it has been empty for quite some time now.

If you want good service, but not good food, this is the place.. Let me start by saying I am a food snob. I'm new to the area and moved from a place were food good choices are abundant. With our kids off to summer camp, my wife and I had a chance to have a nice dinner at a nice place. Because we live in the south metro and didn't feel like driving far, I searched for a place with that in mind. Copper Bleu seemed to fit the bill.

Walking into the place, I was impressed with what I saw. It reminded me of a few of the "big city" modern places I've been to. Because we were going to have to wait a little, we ordered some cocktails and took in the place and enjoyed the good music that was playing. Drinks were great and not watered down and bartender was very friendly. Oh, we were seated before I drinks arrived and the bartendered (not a waiter) delivered our drinks to our table. Nice, so he got a generous tip.

Our waiter was a very nice young man who explained the specials very well and made a number of recommendations. It was obvious he knew the menu. We both ordered steaks, my wife got a filet and I don't remember what I got. She likes her steaks on the medium well side and I like it on the medium rare to medium. They ended up butterflying her filet, which is something I have never seen done. They said they had to do it to get it medium well. Again, this was a first for us. It was the worst filet the both of us have ever had. My wife didn't even finish it, which was another first. It was very well-done and very dry piece of meat. My steak, was also over-cooked and dry. I mentioned to our waiter about this and he offered to have new ones made, but I know better than to return food. I told him he just needs to tell the cooks to watch the steaks closer. The only saving grace, food wise, was the mash potatoes. Like others have mentioned, they were very good.

In closing, if this is the best the South has to offer, the South is in trouble. I won't be going back. At those prices I expect much more.

Good brunch, bad service!. I've been here twice for Sunday brunch but I have to say I am not impressed. On both visits there were less than 4 tables occupied, ourselves included. You might think visiting when the restaurant is not crowded would ensure more attentive service from the staff, but this was not our experience.

The first time, they made a mistake with our reservation and were quite surly about it. The hostess never apologized, she just seemed annoyed that we were there "early".

We ordered the family style brunch, where you choose an entree and it comes with "smash browns" (which are excellent, by the way), popovers, toast, sausage, bacon and ham for the whole table. We never received the promised toast on either visit, though, and the kids didn't like the popovers. The food was pretty good, although I've had better for less.

The real problem Copper Bleu has is with its staff. The servers seemed apathetic and indifferent, bordering on impolite. We waited 20-30 minutes after being seated before a server came by to take our order, not even to ask if we wanted anything to drink. They don't have coloring books or crayons for kids, but on our first visit they did provide little packs of twisty wax craft sticks for the kids. On our second visit they didn't give us any, so I flagged down our waitress who said she would bring some but never did. Once our food was served no one came back to see how we were doing or if we needed anything else (no coffee refills!). One good thing I can say is that once we ordered, the food came very quickly, however the tables are pretty small and the family style brunch comes with a lot of platters and there wasn't really enough room for everything.

I think Copper Bleu has potential. It's new, kind of hip, and a nice addition to Lakeville, which doesn't have a lot of restaurants. But their service is inattentive and cold, even when they are not busy.

Great Place for Dinner. We have been to Copper Bleu three times. The first time was for Brunch. The meat was tasteless and the food a bit strange. We won't be going back for that. However, we have been there twice for dinner and it was wonderful! The Maple glazed pork is unbelievable and the steaks devine. We love the decor and the atmosphere. The service has been wonderful and the staff is very knowledgable. We will continue to go back for dinner.

atmosphere was fun, but food was over cooked - would NOT recommend. The tuna was dry and too well done as was the chocolate cake. I had even asked for recommendations from our server and she suggested the tuna and when ordering dessert I had asked if the cake was dry and she said, not it's really moist.

Two for Two.... I have been to Copper Bleu twice now, and both experiences were great. The service has been outstanding, and the food and atmosphere are equally as good. My favorites are the bleu cheese filet, and the cedar plank salmon. I thought the prime rib was average though. The atmosphere was cozy, but be careful if you get a table next to the wall-- there was a cold draft most of the night. All things considered, I really have enjoyed my 2 dinners here, and will return for a third-- hopefully soon!

Breathtaking and Delicious. Copper Bleu is absolutely gorgeous inside! From the candelabra's and artful lighting, to the rich woodwork, and curvaceous glass tiled bar. Summer is perfect for the tree lined patio, and sitting around the Fire Pit. The staff is friendly and well informed. The menu has everything from Sandwiches, Burgers and Salads, to Steaks, Pasta, and Seafood. I've eaten there many times, and I love it.

My favorite's are Coconut Shrimp, Jake's Beef Tenderloin Fondue, Szechwan Green Beans, Seafood Pan Roast, Bleu Crusted Filet, Maple-Walnut Walleye, Prime Rib, and the Cedar Plank Salmon.

They have a Mashed Potato cart that comes to your table, and mashes them to order for you, and the creamed corn is the best. For a new restaurant, they've done an amazing job. My only dig, is that there isn't one closer to my house.

Very nice AND smoke free !!. What a breath of fresh air to have such a nice restaurant in the South area..as in its NO SMOKING !! We need more like this.

Anything in Apple Valley/Burnsville is FAR from this class. And thats part of it. It has class and yet you can comfortably go casual.

Nice wines, nice menu.

Great bar area, great seating, great food and a patio.

I would recommend a reservation.

This sleek American bistro is a unique dining addition to chain-restaurant heavy Lakeville.. In Short
The copper exterior might resemble a cold kettle, but the mahogany-and-mesquite wood accents inside make this bistro as comfy as a lake cabin. The local and surrounding-suburbs clientele who can tear their eyes away from the ceiling--where 26,800 test tubes form glittering chandeliers--indulge in specialties like blue-cheese crusted filet mignon and cedar-planked salmon. Spud lovers delight in the tableside-prepared mashed potatoes with chives, onion straws and shredded cheddar.
