Editorial Review for Peninsula – by Melissa Colgan

In Short
Natural woods, chrome accents, earth tone painted walls and an expansive floor plan lend an industrial aesthetic to this Eat Street eatery. Well-traveled tongues take delight in a menu that offers fresh interpretations of classic dishes, as well as innovative courses that blend Chinese, Cantonese, Thai and Indian fare. The creative styling includes tofu satay, fried flounder wrapped in banana leafs, plus curries and tom yum, a traditional Thai hot and sour soup.

Insider Tips

Where to Sit

Take a seat near the open kitchen for some "dinner theater" and watch the chefs chop, fry and saute.

What to Drink

Although there is a small list of beer and wine, try the sweat and creamy Malaysian iced coffee or a fresh mango fruit smoothie with black tapioca pearls.

Parking

There's free parking in the lot across the street after 6pm. Before 6pm, try your luck with the tiny lot in the back or search for street parking.

This is a good place i would recommend for casual dinner. Most items on their menus are good specially the fried rice and the rendang (beef brisket curry one of my favorites) and the char mee (noodles) I have tried their other curry like the green curry but it lacks depth and body, taste like any ordinary curry. Prices are reasonable and staff is warm and friendly. I dont recommend their drinks though (like the smoothies )specially if you're not familiar with asian textures and tastes. Bottom line = Its worth a second or third visit for me sometime, good food (if you know what to order) good service and reasonably priced

Pros: most items are good, reasonably priced

Cons: limited drinks and dessert selections

Beef dishes taste fabulous, but was very very fatty. Staff is welcoming, pleasant and wonderful. Most of the food is very good!

Pros: Great staff - warm and welcoming.

Cons: Very fatty beef.
