My new favorite salon!

I was desperately looking to get my hair done last night, but my normal salon (Coles Salon on Cliff Rd, Eagan) was full up. I tried calling other Coles salons in the area, but Eagan, Apple Valley, and Burnsville were all full!

I Googled a salon in Burnsville (although I was hesitant, I've only been to a salon twice in my life and I'm very picky!) and I found Ambiance Salon and Spa. I read these reviews and decided to give it a go! I called at 7:10pm and said I could be there in 15 minutes if they could fit me in. The girl was very pleasant on the phone and said she?d do her best to fit me in she put me on hold for a moment and then told me to come on over! I drove quickly and (being utterly and completely directionally challenged) was relieved to see that this place was very easy to find.

Don't let the outside deceive you. When I first pulled up and saw it in the strip mall, I was expecting to walk into a Great-Clips type of atmosphere. But to my pleasant surprise, I walked in to a beautifully decorated lobby with a Mediterranean theme. I was greeted warmly and my hairdresser came out to greet me promptly. I saw Janet during my visit.

At Cole?s Salon, when I?ve told them to do ?what-ever? with my hair, they?ve pulled out color charts and hair books as if I just hadn't decided. When I told Janet that I?d go for anything, I was very happy how she handled the situation. She told me what cuts and colors she wanted to see in my hair and assured me it would be a ?big change? (which is just what I was looking for!) She took what little input I gave her and went to town! I really enjoyed how, after telling her that I get bored with my hair quickly, she even discussed with me the things she?d like to try next time.

She was very pleasant and enjoyable and did a wonderful job with my hair! The price was about normal for what I was expecting ($129 for a cut and foil.) This was my best salon experience so far!

• Cons: None that I can think of!

This place is great!

Nice atmosphere, great decor, attentive people. Just a fabulous place to spend time getting your hair done. Going to try their spa this holiday. They are doubling their space to put in a new spa facility. Looks like it?s going to be a first rate spa.

I'm not going back to my old hair dresser.

Excellent Service!

My exerience with Ambiance Salon was an excellent one. I had my hair done with Abby, she was super fast at the foil and was easy to relate to. I choose a red color to top my blonde, and when the color turned pink the next day after washing it, I called Ambiance back and Abby was able to not only correct the problem, but did an even better color on me the second time around. The manager, Vicki, was very understanding and gracious as well. I would absolutely go back to see Abby again for color, she has some real talent.
