Tips for TreVina Restaurant

Great Italian food for people who don't want the Olive Garden experience. If you are going to an Italian restaurant because you have a craving for spaghetti with meatballs or lasagna you might be better served someplace else. If you like to try innovative and complex flavors then come to Tre Vina. If you are willing to let chef William pick your meal you will not be disappointed. I used to order off the menu and still do on occasion but many of my best meals have been where I just let William create my meal. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow by American standards but eating here is like eating in Florence where dining is not but a meal but an event.

As far as the food I can recommend every appitizer and the salads. The entrees mostly hits with the steaks, fish, gnocchi, ravioli, and risotto all excellent. The other pasta dishes are nothing to write home about.

If you're not in a hurry and you're feeling a bit adventerous, a dinner at Tre Vina is a wonderful evening.

Excellent food and wine! Very friendly atmosphere. My family has been here many times and have loved it! While not really kid friendly, the 12 year old did fine and was very happy with his meal. The owner is very friendly, nice and very knowledgable about food and wine. I'm not legal, but my parents have had great experiences with the wine. My favorite is the spaghetti al pomodoro with shrimp, a simple dish but quite a bit of delicious pasta.

All of the appetizers are great and I get the caprese salad every time (mozzerella, avacado and tomato).

Service can be slower but the waitresses we have had are very attentive.

The one time they over cooked my dad's tuna -- he asked for rare almost raw, they were very apologetic, offered to make a new one and gave us a free desert. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant!

mac and cheese italian style. Great ambience- slow service, felt forgotten at times. I had chicken penna which tasted exactly like kraft mac and cheese with chicken added. My husband had something bolognese- was also bland; couldn't taste anything so hard to compare it to anything. We had one chicken marsala at the table; had some flavor(not quite sure what it was- pine sol maybe?) The mahi mahi also; no flavor. Salads are extra $ and small in stature, the vinaigrette heavy on the vinegar. The prices are not bad; but you get what you pay for. The restaurant is decorated beautifully; big and open, great lighting, servers were friendly, clean, and attractive.

If they got a decent cook they would have a great thing going!! BTW- Italian/French restaurant with an irish name. Trevina means prudent. Prudent they were; with the flavor....
