awesomeness@MississippiPub. A++ The Mississippi Pub has fantastic weekly food specials and some of the cheapest drink/beer specials I have seen in the Twin Cities. I frequent the weekly Taco Tuesday because the tacos are simply amazing! The Mississippi Pub offers monthly events and I had a blast at the "Ugly Sweater Party" in December awesome job guys!!! If you like a friendly atmosphere with excellent service, and a huge river deck patio you need to check out this pub! Highly recommended!!
Dont bother- not even 1 star. We went there last night looking forward to a nice dinner by the water. Had never been there before and wanted to try the fish. We sat down and it took about 15 minutes for the teeny-bopper waitress to acknowledge us, we ordered our drinks and onion rings first. About 20 minutes later our onion rings came ($7.00 for about 8 onion rings) and still no drinks yet. I told the man who brought the onion rings that we were still waiting on drinks and for our main food order to be taken, and also asked for a few napkins or silverware for the onion rings. All this while our waitress had walked past our table at least 5 times. He replied by being snotty and saying "This isnt a fast food restaraunt". I had said "Excuse me- dont get snippy with me" We walked out and left the onion rings sitting on the table. I guess you have to be known or a regular down there to get any kind of good service. Very, very rude and couldnt care anything about customer service. Dont waste your time !!!! I'll never go back there again !!!
Love it!. I love this place. Will be going weekly in the summer. I would reccomend to all.
Very Poor Service Do Not Waste Your Time!.
The Place Seems nice at face value.
The service is none existant
Very time consuming and frustrating.
They seem to be all about themselves and could care
less about the customers.
I could see other customers had the same thoughts.
Maybe they will change, Don't hold your breath.
I will never visit them again
Don't waste your time. I was excited to read about a restaurant with a patio on the waterfront in my own back yard. But it's set too far back to be considered on the waterfront. The patio looked nice, but the service was terrible. There were three waitresses/bar tenders and they all seemed to be doing something other than waiting on the customers. We waited about 10 minutes at our table for some service. Then went up to the bar and waited another 10 minutes. We finally left in frustration.
Great place to hang by the river. This place is perfect if you want a regular, out-of-the-way place for a burger, good beer, and a seat overlooking the marina and River. Nice seating in or out. Staff is fine. It's not fancy but you can find that in the other River towns. This is a marina bar/restaurant that serves locals, boaters and sailers. Food is very good with a nice selection of beer and the usual drinks. It sits on on the west side of the river so moonrise can be beautiful. While you see the river, it's mainly a marina view, but fun to watch people and activities.
Good food! But, where did they find their bar staff?.
On a recommendation from a friend my wife and I decided to check out the Mississippi Pub in Inver Grove Heights. When we arrived the place was pretty empty and we recieved a not so warm smile from the woman behind the bar. We took a couple of chairs at the bar, ordered a beer and Screw Driver and asked for a couple menus. The bartender, a not so friendly woman with silicone assests, was clearly not having a good night and seemed very put out by our request for menus. After a few minutes of looking at the menus we were ready to order and let the bartender know. She said ok and preceeded to check her cell phone, write and send off a message before she found her way to taking our order.
Our food arrived and we settled in to enjoy dinner, the peace of the River and our time together. However, that was shorted lived as the bartender and what appeared to be someone from the kitchen started a conversation of their own behind the bar. The bartender was ranting about what we are guessing was another employee of the bar and how "THE F*****G B***H" had to go. They continued on until the bartenders cell phone rang and then she took her phone and went out the front door for 10 miutes.
We finished out dinner, which was the best part of the visit, paid our check and headed home.
The Mississippi Pub looks like it could be a fun place during the summer with it's large patio and view of the River. The food was good but, we are still wondering where they found their bar staff. So all in all out first visit was not a good experiance but, we will give it another try this summer and see.
