Eagan >Jake's City Grille
Always delicious. I frequent both the Jakes in Eden Prairie as well as the Jake's in Eagan and their food is always delicious and servers are always very friendly. I have never had a bad meal here and their prices are very reasonable. It's a great place for lunch during the work-week.
Jakes Grille is a home for credit card theft and stealing!.
I agree with the reviewer Mr. Eagan who claims he was ripped off by this restaurant for $39.00! Unlike Mr. Eagan I have no intention of walking away from this one. As I have never ever have been to the place! Someone obviously from there or simpatico enough with them to submit a credit card number with no card presented and no customer to represent that card; put in a $57.00 order! It is on my card online which I discovered today the 15th of January! Billed as the 14th of January: what a shame I was never in St. Paul on that day! They are clearly thieves and the other write up on this page shows they are hostile to foreigners..you know them foreign people they might try to steal your money! I intend to report this to the St. Paul Police and lets see how their managers bad attitude works for him then.
AVOID ENTIRELY.. I went to dinner on June 9th, 2007 and spent $61 dollars on dinner for my fiance's birthday. Then, on June 13th an unexplainable $39 dollars was charged to my bank account from Jake's City Grille. This could not be possible since I had not been there since June 9th and my credit card was not stolen. I then went to the bank and they assured me that it was NOT a bank related issue and that I needed to speak with the restaurant. The bank gave me a printout of the error and I went to the restaurant. Upon arriving at the restaurant I was told that they were too busy to help me and that they would call me in the evening. After not receiving any correspondance from the restaurant I called. My call was answered by the General Manager BRIAN KRIEG. BRIAN KRIEG was incredibly rude to me. He accused me of purchasing at Jake's that day, he then told me there was nothing he could do for me. I feel that essentially Jake's City Grille stole $40 dollars from me, which is criminal.
Non US citizens not welcome at this chain!. On arriving in Minnesota for an extended business trip a friend recommended we go to Jake's in Eagan for lunch, which I did and it was good so later that week I decided to return with another friend. We were told that they do not accept passports as valid ID (even though it's recognised everywhere in the world as THE most valid form of ID), and they would not accept my UK driving licence either - when I asked the manager he confirmed that the company has a policy not to accept passports and no non-US form of ID is acceptable either so therefore foreigners cannot purchase alcoholic drinks in any Jakes establishment. Needless to say I didn't stay and I would recommend all foreigners to steer clear of the most xenophobic restaurant I've ever been to!
Best Pizzas and calazones!!!. It can get a little pricy if you are eating with a group and having drinks but for a quik lunch with a friend it is great. The patio is spectacular!
