Love it. I've tried a number of salons in St. Paul since I moved here six years ago, and Moxie is by far the best. Trixie has done my cut, color and brows the last few times. I've been nothing but thrilled with the results. All the stylists seem very friendly, and they've made a devoted fan of me!

Life time member. I have to admit that I love this place. I lived in the neighborhood about five years ago and will never go anyplace else. I wanted bangs after a long time so when I called I was placed with Matty and man that man knows his stuff. Since that first time we meet that was it, I was in love. He has taken me from straight to curly - black to blonde and never a misuse in chemicals. Now that is saying something. He is knowledgeable and knows what looks best. I have no problems coming and and sitting down and saying do what you think looks best, and I have never been disappointed. He takes great pains - if trips to Vegas is painful - to stay a breast of all the new techniques.

The salon is a great place to visit. Everybody who is there is professional and friendly. I have seen new people come in and watch them go through the process of becoming a stylist at the salon. They have a step by step program that is followed and it is nice to see them work their way up to becoming a full fledged stylist. I have been to salons that hire out of schools and there is no salon training just a get out there and do your stuff. Moxie salon's take the steps to make sure that anyone who does hair there has extensive training so that there is not a mishap in their salons.

I have no reservations in letting people know that Moxie salons is a great place to go. If you want a great cut/color try Moxie and you won't be disappointed.

Let's set the record straight!!!!!!. Hey Everyone,

This is Matty, I'm an Executive Stylist at Moxie Midway. I've been with the company since we first opened our Saint Paul location in August of 2005 and I thoroughly love and enjoy my job!

Moxie prides itself with it's professionalism, standards of conduct and services and with reaching out and giving back to the community through various events.

In the past, previous employees have had NO HESITATION to slander the company through misleading and fake online reviews. Some posting through alternate names and usernames and some not.

"Gloryfound007". If you REALLY had a negative experience in the past call or e-mail the salon and let's try to figure out a solution.

Defamation of character, attacking our employee's images, name calling and making insinuations about our employees is uncalled for. Period.

We have a rigorous apprenticeship and training program and we take pride in the work we do and in our employees.

As for Moxie's alleged reviews by it's own employees, that is not the case. We educate our guests, we give them an individualized quality service, and we don't need to build ourselves up by writing fake reviews. Our clients and work speak for themselves.

Obviously "Gloryfound007" has a deeper issue with Moxie and/or employees considering the low blows and lack of taste within their review. Please do not let this one person's issue deter you from checking either location out. We'd love to see you and give you a GREAT experience.

Yeah right... Im sooo sure!. First off this place is so disgusting. These girls dress like they came straight from their strip club jobs. Hot pants, Camel toes and stripper boots and their hair is greasy and gross. And I am so sure that the employees write their own reviews. I mean what normal person is going to know if a keratin treatment other than what they have is filled with formaldehyde? Get a life you poser hipsters. I had the worst cut and service ever! Talk about great clips service. Moxie Clips. That's the word on the street now.

I LOVE MY SILKY KERATIN BLOWOUT BY MATTY!!!!!!!!. I have very wavy, dry and frizzy hair. I went in to see Matty at Moxie Midway for a consultation on a keratin treatment and other options. He suggested I do a keratin smoothing blowout treatment. It's fermaldahyde free and doesn't damage hair. He said it puts a lot of keratin in and around the hair to take out the frizz and the wave, dramatically cut down my blow dry and styling time and makes it super shiny. This sounded great since I flat iron my hair on a daily basis and wear it smooth most of the time.

At my next appointment I did the service and it was a great experience! Matty explained everything he was doing and kept me informed. Nothing irritated my scalp and I left with hair I never knew I could have!! It's silky, straight, smooth and it really DOES look like hollywood hair!

Well worth the investment since the treatment lasts up to 5 months. It makes it so I can air dry my hair and it's not crazy and bushy and if I want I just flat iron the tips, I don't have to go all the way up the hair to make it straight.

All and all Matty is a professional. He knows his craft and I'm referring all my friends to him!!!!!!

IF YOU NEED A KERATIN TREATMENT IN THE TWIN CITIES GO TO MATTY!!!! HANDS DOWN, NO EXCEPTIONS! I'M SO GLAD I DID!!!!

Matty, I love my Klix Extensions!!. Matty at Midway salon in Saint Paul just did my Klix extensions. I have had extensions before and they were nothing like this!

These were put in very quickly and without ANY pain what-so-ever. The color blends so nicely with my natural hair that I can't even tell they are in there, let alone anyone else!

My hair looks thicker and longer and it only took about an hour at the salon to have them put in. That is a lot better than the usual 4 hours or so that it usually takes for extensions.

Matty is not only great at extensions he is also a master at cuts and colors. I highly recommend you visit Moxie salon for your next beautification -- ASK TO SEE MATTY!!!

Best Birthday Gift to Myself!. It was my birthday and I decided to go in and treat myself to a haircut. I have fine hair that just hangs well past my shoulders, it started to drag my narrow face down and it had been in the same style for years. I'm in my 40's and wanted to switch up and modernize my look! I was fortunate enough to be with Matty! After a thorough consultation he gave me the best haircut I've ever had! He brought my length to a bob, but not just any bob. I don't know how he did it but he was able to have my hair have movement and swing and not have too many layers because he didn't want my ends to feel too thin. But he texturized many different ways and my hair is laying perfectly! He was professional and it was a great experience! I will be back!

Fantastic Service. I walked in to Moxie and the receptionist was kind enough to squeeze me in fairly quickly. I like to have fun with my hair so I told the stylist some basic requirements and then let him do whatever he wanted within those boundaries. He cut it to frame my face and still maintain my longer layers. I love it...and so does everybody else :)

customer service. If I could get past the customer service I might be able to review the actual abilities and customer treatment of the stylists....however:

I tried to call to make an appt....twice the phone was never picked up. Finally I got through...cause i reallly wanted to give them a chance, had heard good things....I made an appt. for 4:15, I recieved a call at 12:30 to tell me I was too late for my appt. and could not get in now for that day. Really??? There was no appt. confirm call, which is usually done and then if they had messed up what time they told me it would have gotten straightened out then and they should have found a spot to put me in at instead or offered a discount on when i DID get in for the appt. for the fact that they were the ones that messed it up because TWO times the appt setter told me 12:15....so it was their mistake, and the woman I spoke with when I called them back was not even the slightest bit apologetic about it and acted like it was definitely my mistake for sure and too bad.

I will never even give that place a shot now. That is a tragic bit of business sense for moxie. too bad...and I'm sure that I will recommend friends not to even bother with them now.

CHOPPY, TOO SHORT LAYERS. I RECENTLY WENT IN TO MOXIE FOR THE FIRST TIME. IT'S A COOL SPACE AND NICE STAFF.

I HAVE LONG HAIR WELL PAST MY SHOULDERS AND BRENT CUT MY LAYERS WAY TOO SHORT! THEY ARE REALLY CHOPPY AND MY SHORTEST LAYER IS EAR LENGTH! HE SAID WE WOULD GIVE ME BLENDED LONG LAYERS BUT I LEFT LOOKING LIKE I HAD A HALF MULLET, EXCEPT HE DID SPARE ME SOME LENGTH IN THE FRONT.

NOW I'M JUST WEARING MY HAIR IN A PONY TAIL. THE LAYERS ARE TOO SHORT TO WEAR DOWN WITHOUT LOOKING FUNNY.
