great pizza. I thought Casetta's Pizza was the best in the Twin Cities until I came here. Now, I've eaten a lot of pizza through the years, and with every one, to a greater or lesser degree, I get heartburn after eating a couple of slices. BUT NOT WITH TINO'S PIZZA! Don't ask me why. Obviously, they leave out whatever it is that causes the heartburn. I hear that they make their own tomato paste from scratch, that's probably it. You can read the other reviews for details, but I am so amazed that this pizza goes down so easy I took the trouble of registering here and writing something.
This is the best pizza in the TC's..
This is the best pizza we've found in the TC's and maybe anyplace.
Tino's pizza crust is like artisan bread, the sauce is incredible and cheese all come together just right. We had a meat lovers special with Italian variety meats and great, spicey sausage. We watched our pizza being hand made. They tossed and spun it in the air and baked it in old style bakers oven. Tino's kitchen is open to the dining room.
Another time we went with an office group and tried several other menu items. Tino's Italian beef panini was ordered by one person originally from Chicago who said it was better than how it's served there.
They have a pink pasta sauce called Rose. I had it with meatballs and it was delicious. It came with fresh home baked Italian bread . The sign said their pasta and soup is all you can eat. The portion served was very generous and one serving was all I could eat.
Tino's is a little gem of a joint and we are now regulars. It's worth the drive to Minnetonka if you don't live in that area.
(And, they have really nicely painted bathrooms...)
Best pizza in the suburbs!. Tino?s pizza could be one of the best pizza joints in Minnesota, I little out of the way, and a little small but the pizza is so good, big thin, fold it in half slices, with a perfect crust, just the right amount of cheese, and the sauce I don?t know what they put in there sauce, but every time I go I make sure I bring a quart home with me. The price is just right for slice of pizza and a pop, the whole pies are a little pricy, and the dinning room is on the small side but that adds to the feel of the place. In my opinion tino?s is a must for anyone who ?says? they have had a real NYC slice of pizza in Minnesota.
